But there is another voice:
One that echos loudly
Interrupts incessantly
Interjects without solicitation
and one that has another message
Do you believe that there is a satan?
Do you believe that satan is wicked?
Do you really believe that satan goes about as a roaring lion
seeking whom he may devour?
Do you believe that satan also has a message, and that his message
is different from the message from God?
satan is a liar.
satan says, “fear me.”
“I am all powerful.”
“I have control.”
“Be afraid every moment.”
“Watch your back.”
“See what I did.”
“Are you scared now?”
“There needs to be unity among
religions. You Christians aren’t loving,
because you don’t believe that Buddha is Christ”
“Fear me, I can hurt you and tear
you down.”
“I can break you.”
“Don’t fall for that Jesus
stuff”
“You’re on your own.”
“God doesn’t care what you do.”
“Go ahead and get saved.
See if there is any change in your situation.”
“Your not saved. If you
were, you would never sin.”
Satan has always mis-quoted God and taken on the facade of being
God, in an attempt to confuse you:
Discourage you - Pressure you - Diffuse
us - Disrupt you - Stress you - Thwart you and break you
But it’s time you recognize him for what he really is.
satan is a loser.
he lost the battle from the beginning.
his time is set.
his destiny determined.
his end unchangeable.
his words, all lies.
his rhetoric, pitifully base and easily exposed.
he has no authority that you do not give him.
he is not big.
he is not wise.
he is not dangerous to the informed blood washed believer.
he is not all powerful or all knowing.
he is not all anything except - all defeated.
satan wants you to focus on the negative.
he wants you to fear him.
he wants you to fear the enemy.
he wants you to make new enemies.
he wants you to fear tomorrow.
he wants you to fear the future.
he wants you to fear living and to think there is no future for your
children.
he wants you to condescend and give him recognition.
satan wants your yesterday, today and tomorrow to be gloomy and
filled with confusion and terror and tragedy and hate and loneliness.
If you and I fall prey to this kind of thinking – you are not
listening to God and you do not have a pro-active perspective."
