Thought for the day

"God-thinking removes the barriers that unbelief has built, so that you can receive what your faith can perceive.  Unbelief, built up by past failures, past disappointments or past illusions must be replaced by faith.  When unbelief is removed, faith can do what was impossible to get done by unbelief.  God-thinking will change your life for the good, because the unbelief and the doubt and the past all find themselves being replaced with belief and faith and newness."

Thought for the day

"God demands that you believe what God says. I am taken back by how many Christians seek to make God a god that has nothing to say about where they go or what they do:
  • A god aloof from their daily needs
  • A god that isn't concerned about their relationships
  • A god that isn't involved with their job or profession
  • A god that isn't listening to their conversations
God sent His Son to die so you could have life. He died for your sins, but that's not the only reason that Jesus came to be among us. He also came to free you from bondage and oppression. He came to empower you to overcome the darkness of the world. He came to teach you the principle of godly living. Jesus came, not just to teach the truth - Jesus is the truth. God demands that you believe what God says."

Thought for the day

"God-thinking requires that you evaluate what is useful and beneficial to your whole being, (not just what is useful for the moment), and seek to possess it - And carefully evaluate the things that are consuming your time, energy and resources and seek to remove them."

Excerpt from The Power of God Thinking by Keith C. Powell 2010

Thought for the day

"God-thinking believes statements like this one: You are a direct result of God - and God-thinking keeps that thought "on top" in your mind. There is a seven word sentence that has been changing lives for centuries. In every language, this little principle has sparked more people to greatness than any other. "It's all about the way you think.  Norman Vincent Peale in his book, The Power of Positive Thinking, put it this way, "you will become what you think about." The way you think determines what you will get out of life and what you will leave behind. God-thinking redefines ................everything.

Wrong thinking will keep you trapped:
Wrong thinking about God
Wrong thinking about yourself
Wrong thinking caused by misinterpretation of God's truth
Wrong thinking about the way you spend your time, energy and resources"

Thought for the day

"Wrong thinking asks wrong questions, like: Why do bad things happen to good people? God-thinking asks the same question like this, "What are you going to do with what God allowed to happen?"

We read in Colossians 1:9-10
"For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
V10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;"

It is this mind of God that remains constant that you must trust. It is this mind of God that you need to emulate if you want to understand God-thinking."

Thought for the day

"God-thinking says, AIt is not true that you don=t have time.  It was never true.  There isn=t too little time, but just the right amount of it.@  Believing this simple truth will release hours and hours for you to use to reach your desired goal and to create what is missing in your life.

God-thinking demands a higher call to the way that you dispose the day."

Thought for the day

"Some people think enlightenment is a word that describes the prophet or sage and it refers to some spiritual assent. But enlightenment refers to every component of our life.

How about enlightened electricians? How about enlightened home health care workers, or an enlightened house-wife, or an enlightened waitress? Enlightenment is understanding and utilizing your deepest knowledge of God in the everyday things you are doing.

Enlightenment is not something you receive at the end of an arduous and miserable life here on earth. Enlightenment is seeing God in the things on this side - where you are at - in the middle of your circumstances - right now.

In life, in death, in sickness, in health, in strength, in weakness, in what people call failure, in success, in the most mundane of all jobs - enlightenment put's "on top," God thoughts. There is no spiritual enlightenment apart from your work, apart from your relationship with your spouse, apart from your children, apart from earning income, apart from paying your bills, apart from cleaning the gutters, apart from shingling the roof.

Spiritual enlightenment is doing what you do with the mind of Christ.

True enlightenment
is the unity of our mind
      with the thoughts of God
as we perpetuate what God began
            in the life we live
as we live out our life with excellence.

Thought for the day

"When we speak disarming words, not only do we seriously affect the lives of ourselves and others, we speak against God:
  • Disarming words are words that God wouldn't speak.
  • Words that break down instead of build up.
  • Words that destroy instead of create.
  • Words that tear apart instead of put together.
The words you speak have much to do with why you are where you are today, but just as important, the words you speak have much to do with why things are the way they are in other people's lives as well.

The questions we must ask ourselves are - Am I building up or knocking down? Is what I think about ordained by God?

There was a man in India who bought a small farm & farm house with a small brook running through the back yard. This farm was at the base of a group of mountains. When he moved in a priest stopped by to get acquainted. The man told the priest that he wanted to get rich and was going to set out to search for diamonds. The priest said he heard the diamonds were somewhere close by, maybe in the mountains that you could see out the back door.

The priest asked if the man was going to use the land and the man quickly told "I don't have time to mess with this place." He was going to spend his time looking for diamonds.

The man went everywhere in search of the diamonds. He spent his life in search of diamonds and finally spent his life's savings and started to sell off his farm land. Finally, after losing everything he sold the farm and house with the little brook running through the back yard to a man who really loved it. Soon after that he died.

The new owner moved in and began to enjoy what he had. He started potting plants and enjoyed the sound of the brook in the back yard. He would take small pebbles out of the brook and line the top of the potted plants to make them pretty.

The now aged priest came by to visit. The new owner brought him to the back yard to show him what he was doing. He loved his little farm and was proud of his potted plants. The priest was looking at the plants when he saw the bright pebbles glistening in the sun. He picked one up and shouted, "My God man these are diamonds, where did you get them?" The new owner said they were laying in the bottom of the pond and he would just reach down and pick them up to fill the top of his potted plants.

The nearby mountains had been depositing diamonds in this little brook for centuries.

The new owner now owned the richest diamond deposits ever found in India.  It is a tragedy to seek after what you already have. The first man had spent his whole life and all his money searching for what was already in his back yard. There are a lot of Christians looking for what they already have.

One more thing, God designed everything so that you and I would be enlightened. If you are thinking, "how can I be enlightened; you don't know what I have to deal with everyday, or you don't know what I have gone through"  If that's what's "on top" in your thinking process, enlightenment might look like something that you will have to encounter in the next life.

But when you change what's "on top" to think like God, instead of asking the question, "how can I be enlightened, you don't know what I have to deal with everyday"  It will be, "How can I not be enlightened by what I am going through everyday."

Thought for the day

"To see the direct connection between what we speak and what God hears, I want you to read Matthew 12:31-37. When you and I speak, whether aloud or in silence, God hears. What God hears you and I speak determines a great many things. You need to know the connection between what you speak - what you think - and what becomes reality in your life.

Matthew 12:31-37 "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
V32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
V33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
V34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
V35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
V36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement.
V37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."

John 6:63-64a "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
V64a But there are some of you that believe not."

The words that Jesus spoke are spirit and they are life. We too can speak words that are spirit and life, by emulating Jesus Christ. We can speak words that build up, enlighten, heal - words with power and authority that create the right outcome, because "The thoughts of the righteous are right."

According to the scriptures, the words you speak are a pretty good indicator of who you are. The words you speak reveal the depth of your relationship with God. If you don't believe that what you say has power, you will create discord, doubt, discouragement, failure & low self esteem, by default.

Excerpt from The power of God Thinking by Keith C. Powell Copyright 2010
Author's note: During a Bible study one time, one of the attendees, a man of about 75 years old said that he didn't believe that prayer was for today.  He believed a certain philosophy that was going around at the time that prayer ended after the Apostles died.  He was adamant and thoroughly convincing that he truly believed that prayer has no efficacy at all.  So I asked him if he would take a challenge for one week.  I said, "would you agree not to pray about anything at all that comes up during the next week, never once cry out to God, never once thank the Lord, never once to ask God for anything, (and I added) and definitely not to pray for your grandchildren this week, no matter what happens."  Of course the reply was no he wouldn't.  What a tragedy to go through life not relying on Jesus to work with you and provide for you as you pass through this world as a steward of the things of God.

Thought for the day

"True thoughts - honest thoughts - pure thoughts - lovely thoughts - thoughts of good report; these thoughts can do anything. They are not bound by natural law, they are governed by supernatural law.

The impossible becomes possible. The future looks bright. The goal that seemed so far away, looks unnaturally close. The faith to accomplish great things seems to have always been there. You believe you can and it is revealed by the direction you are headed. You trust God for the next step. You step out in faith and begin to speak into existence what you once thought was ridiculous.

Thought for the day

"If what's "on top" is worry, fret, doubt, discouragement, hatred, violence, sullenness, bad attitudes, any negative thoughts of any kind - then as the moments of life go by - as opportunities are presented - as God's calling in your life is issued - as your child's life is being formed - as your marriage is passing through time - you will be responding negatively, adversely & unfavorably.

Opportunities to better your life come your way all the time, but if your mind is bogged down with doubt and/or low self esteem or fear, the opportunities will pass you by. You won't even notice them. When God calls, if you are listening to the negative (you can't do it) (you're no good) (somebody else is better) messages - If that's what's "on top" - you will not hear the voice of God.

If you have a dream - a goal - a desire for your life - a task that needs accomplished - if there is some great thing you want to do - if you want financial security or healing - and what's "on top" is a deep pile of discouraging messages that you have heard or stored up along the way - negative messages that tear down - you will struggle and very likely never see your dream come true or your goal accomplished or the desires of your heart fulfilled.

You will have to take charge of what's "on top" if you are going to have wealth - health - happiness - joy - peace - and even true love.

Excerpt from The Power of God Thinking by Keith C. Powell Copyright 2010

Author's note:  (For some of you, when I mention wealth or success, red flags go up as if there were inherently something evil or ungodly about having wealth or reaching some level of expected success.  I have receieved comments about the word success as if it were blasphemy. I am using success in this sense:  Was Jesus successful?  Of course.  Does that mean that all was well and he was enjoying eating sugar-plums on the mountainside in the afternoon and being served in a five star hotel as he dined on caviar and crab legs in the evening?  Does it mean that he enjoyed the repect of the pious-religious of his time?  Does it mean that the leaders of his time rolled out the red carpet when he came to town?  Does it mean that he accumulated a plethora of camels so travel would be easy and that he stored up a hoared of goods so he couold feed five thousand when it was convenient?  Of course not.  Success is found in the way you apprehend your goals and desires, not in the accumulation of them.  Jesus was successful and to strive for success / excellence is godly.  Does that mean that anyone who is not successful (by this world's standards, must not be as spiritual as someone who is successful?  Of course not.  Success is found in the way one lives their life to achieve their goals, not in the apprehesion and storage of material wealth or goods.)

Thought for the day

"One of the reasons you feel powerless or become powerless, is because you spend far too much time thinking about totally insignificant, damaging or negative things. The more time these negative and disrupting things stay "on top" in your mind:
The longer it will take to complete a task, any task
The longer it will take to become successful
The longer it will take to reach your goal
The longer it will take to teach your children
The longer it will take to bring your family into agreement
The longer it will take to even learn a principle of God.

Let's say we put "on top" thoughts that are clearly from God.
Thoughts of faith
Thoughts of healing
Thoughts of good health
Thoughts of helping others
Thoughts about Jesus
Thoughts about the Holy Spirit
Thoughts about Father God
Thoughts that think the Word of God

The more time these things are "on top" in the mind:
The less time, energy and resources it will take to complete a task, any task.
The less time, energy and resources it will take to become successful.
The less time, energy and resources it will take to reach your goal.
The less time, energy and resources it will take to teach your children.
The less time, energy and resources it will take to bring your family into agreement.
The less time, energy and resources it will take to even learn another principle of God.

Thought for the day

"God-thinking puts "on top" what you need to conquer the obstacles and barriers that stand in the way of your success.

God-thinking puts "on top" more faith to believe the impossible and redistributes the doubt and unbelief, so far down the ladder of the mind that it forgets what doubt is.

God-thinking puts "on top" confidence and authority where worry and fear have been living for far too long.
God-thinking keeps "on top" in your mind what you need to be Christ-like.
God-thinking isn't just about receiving something from God. It is also about meeting the needs of others.

God-thinking activates the Word of God that lives within in us.

Whatever you have read in the Word of God (logos)
Whatever you have heard from God (Rhema)
Whatever you have received by faith
 Whatever you truly believe
Whatever is of God needs to be "on top" as the moments of life pass by

Thought for the day

"You are not on your own here. God is not just teaching you. God is imparting to you more of Himself. You are apprehending the mind of God as God reveals Himself to you.

You are becoming wiser, because God planned it to be this way.

God knew that towards the end of this era in time, you and I would be in the midst of a great battle for our minds and the minds of our children. God wants you and I to be at peace despite our current circumstances.
  • God-thinking creates an atmosphere in your mind that can be at peace, even while you are in this battle. God-thinking is about taking every advantage to consciously invite the presence of God in the things you do.
  • God-thinking seeks to utilize whatever spiritual component you need to meet your goals - dreams - desires or tasks in life.
  • God-thinking puts the things of God - the power of God - the authority of God - the Spirit of God - the Word of God - God Himself "on top" in your mind.
"On top" refers to: the most prevailing thoughts that you have and how you can re-stack your thoughts, to place life changing, powerful principles "on top" of your mind, and redistribute the lesser things, ultimately, so that what you think, will be of more benefit to yourselve and to those around you.  These prevailing thoughts determine the emotional content and behavioral outcome; your reactions to each event of the day. These reactions are controlled by what's "on top" at the predominating moment.

Thought for the day

"Proverbs 12:5a  "The thoughts of the righteous are right:"

I strongly believe that you need to get a handle on the things of God. You need to introduce as many God messages as possible into your household. You need to say as many God words as you can to your spouse and your children. You need to take back lost ground.
  • It's time to take the things that the world has been peddling and replace them - all of them - with the things of God.
  • It's time to get rid of negative and disarming thoughts and replace them with God thoughts.
"The thoughts of the righteous are right:"

Thought for the day

"I wonder, just how bad things have to get before you can see just how far mankind has fallen from God. I am not telling you this so I can be right, but the kind of evil that is coming is far greater than what we've seen. We need to be spiritually prepared, because this will be no average battle. This last battle will be a battle for the mind. It will be a battle for your mind, my mind and the mind of our children. It has already started. Have you seen it?

I don't want you scared, I want you prepared. Scared doesn't win battles, prepared does.

  • It's time to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.
  • It's time to put on the whole armor of God.
  • It's time to have your loins gird about with the truth.
  • It's time to put on the breastplate of righteousness.
  • It's time to have your feet shod with the gospel of peace.
  • It's time to wield the shield of faith.
  • It's time to put on the helmet of salvation.
  • It's time to take the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God into our mind.
"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"  Ephesians 6:18

Thought for the day

"Your relationship with God is to be solely based on His revelation of Himself to you. Religion has through the centuries and throughout the world, even today, created doctrines of men, that have painstakingly reduced God. It was and is a tragic mistake to see God as anything other than Himself. This one thing I know, when you do see God as He is, in Christ, by faith and revelation of the Holy Spirit, God-thinking becomes even more important.
  • You revel in your relationship with God like never before.
  • You cannot help but bow to Him in humble adoration.
  • You cannot help but worship Him and Praise Him.
  • You cannot help but love His Church.
  • You cannot help but want to be like Christ.
  • You cannot help but believe His Word."
You must purge or push down any and all thoughts of God that you learned from man - and put "on top" revealed God.

Thought for the day

"Just as our view of God must be a high and lofty view, so too our view of Jesus must also be a high and lofty view, and so too our view of the Holy Spirit must be a high and lofty view.  The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit can only be known and understood by faith.  Apart from the revelation of God of Himself, there is no revelation, because man cannot reveal Holy God.  Just the same, when God reveals Himself to man, He reveals Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit."

"God can only be known through Christ and Christ can only be known through faith. And faith can only be known through revelation of the Holy Spirit.

God designed us to know Him through the man Christ Jesus, so that we would not get a false view of who God is. God can only be known through Christ and Christ can only be revealed by the Holy Spirit. The only way to see God clearly is by revelation, in our spirit, by the Holy Spirit."

Thought for the day

"I want you to see a parallel between three events in time - three periods of time of about 2,000 years each. In this time-line you are going to see some truths that will help you get a handle on the why part of (why things are the way they are) today. From the time of the creation of man and woman to the time of the flood was a little less than 2,000 years. Man and woman were created perfectly and placed in a perfect environment. But not before long sin entered in and mankind slowly grew apart from God - so much so that by the time of Noah, all mankind had gone astray (except for eight persons).

Mankind went from bliss and the very presence of God to entire corruption and desecration of the things of God. All of this came about because someone believed the lies of the enemy. Quite often satan spreads his lies to people through their leaders.

Next, there was a period of time from the birth of Abraham to the birth of Christ that was about 2,000 years. During that time the law was given (the schoolmaster), to teach and train men and women how to observe the things of God. They learned how to deny the things of the world - the things that destroyed the entire race of mankind the prior 2,000 years. The law and the prophets spoke of the holiness of God and the Sovereignty of God - the precepts that God revealed that could keep a man or a woman close to Him. God set up the Levitical Priesthood and led the people by the hand. God dwelt among them in the holy of holies. God did mighty miracles in the midst of them (like the parting of the Red Sea, the feeding of the Israelites for 40 years, giving them the promised land, the ten commandments and on and on.) While God was providing more and more mankind was moving further and further away.

Men and women drew away from the things of God for something more tangible - a religious order. First they wanted a King, and then a kingdom, but not the one that God was ordaining. In due time the leadership of God's chosen people had created for themselves a religious system - intolerant of the things of God that required faith - intolerant of the presence of God. They loved their system more than they loved their father God, so much so, that when the very Son of God came to visit them, He was not recognized, and even worse, He was rejected. The religious leaders believed the lies that satan had been handing down to them generation by generation.

The bottom line is that they (the religious) rejected the principles of God and God Himself for the security of a very well organized religious system.

Now according to these two stories, about how long does it take for mankind to go from a perfect and right place or relationship with God to complete and utter desolation? You're right, about 2,000 years.

OK, it is New Testament times. Christ came to die that we might have life and have it abundantly. He came to set us free from the past tyrannies of satan. Christ empowered us with power and authority. The Holy Spirit indwells us so that no stone would be left unturned for us to have the ability to have a right relationship between God and man. Can you see why I say, don't be too hard on yourself if you are not (all) that you can be for God - or if you live below your God given - God breathed - God ordained - God foreseen potential?

Guess what, we are there again. We are at the end of another 2,000 year interval of time. Try to see the parallel. We are living at the same place in our 2,000 year era as those who were on earth at the time of the flood or the same place in time that Christ came to His own people and was rejected. The great part of the world has denied the true God again. Even His own people (the Church) aren't living in the power, authority and anointing that is theirs.

What the heathen did to the things of God the first 2,000 years and what the religious order did to the things of God the second 2,000 years, the Church is doing to the things of God this 2,000 years.

Thought for the day

"The only way that we can thank God or serve God or reciprocate for what God has done for us, is to exercise our faith; faith to be all that God wants us to be.

But if you are thinking:
I wish it was that way for me, but it is not.
I want to be all that I can be in God, but it's so hard.
I want to serve God, but so many things get in the way.
I want to serve Him all the time , but there just isn't enough time in the day.

Don't be too hard on yourself - if you are not (all) that you can be for God - or if you live below your God given - God breathed - God ordained - God foreseen potential, God knows about this too.

Thought for the day

"Knowing a principle is not the same as doing it. The Bible speaks clearly to this issue.

James 1:22 "But be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."

The masses practice hearing - the remnant practice doing. This doing is not to earn salvation. This doing is not to earn recognition from God as being spiritual. Doing the Word is not to earn position or power. Doing the Word fulfills the prophesy of God in your life.

Thought for the day

"The reason you are seeking a deeper walk is because God foreknew you would seek a deeper walk.

The reason you are finding God at every turn in your life, is because God ordained before that you would be conformed to the image of His Son.

The reason you are making changes in your life, is because you are being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, in God's timing, in Gods' will, in God's Mind.

God thinking allows you to believe God and by faith fulfill your God ordained calling - to be conformed into the image of His Son.

"If you are wondering:
Why your spirit is seeking out more of God than ever before.
Why you are thinking about your faith more than ever before.
Why you are wanting to include God in your life - business - relationship - direction - ministry & family more than ever before

You will be glad to know that this is a move of God among His people. You are fulfilling scripture.

Thought for the day

"God-thinking will turn your life around.  And it is my belief that God-thinking is going to turn the world upside down, because it is time to get serious about your relationship with Jesus Christ - And God-thinking embraces Jesus Christ with faith and depth.  The reason that God-thinking is so powerful is not because you are learning life changing principles, even though you are.  It=s not because of the teaching, even though I believe you are learning powerful truths.  It is because you are doing what God fore-ordained that you would do."

Excerpts from The Power of God Thinking by Keith C. Powell Copyright 2010

Monday, June 6, 2011

Thought for the day

"God-thinking opens the door to the truths that set you free.  God-thinking steers you to co-create with God and to be taught by Him.  If you are in Christ - You have already been set free; that happened when you accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior.  But something else happened - something wonderful - something truly miraculous.  You have already received the anointing of God.

"But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him."  I John 2:27

God-thinking accepts your anointing. You are a credible vessel for God to reside in. You are able to receive from God all that has been prepared for you. There is nothing that you need that God has not already gone ahead and prepared for you. He knows the (all things) that you need to complete a task or fulfill a dream or accomplish some great thing.

You are anointed. Do you believe it?

"There=s another kind of habit that you need to be aware of.  This is not a bad habit - nor is it a good habit.  It is a thing you do at the same time every day or every week, something that you really don=t need to think about much, because you have done it this way for a long time, or a very long time.  Just be careful that these habits don=t keep you from a blessing or a Word from God.  Sometimes, not always, but sometimes, doing the same thing the same way at the same time, over and over, becomes something you do because it is easy or doesn’t require any action on our part to do, but it might not fit, where you are in (God's) time, at all.

Sometimes, the Holy Spirit speaks to you while you are doing the laundry, asking you to go here or go there, do this or that, call this person or that person - sometimes, during your favorite TV program. Can you count the times that your children needed you and you told them you were too busy, doing one of those habitual things. How about our spouse needing just a few minutes to talk to you about something and you wouldn't even turn your head away from the TV.

In these cases it is not the habit itself that is good or bad, it is the trap that the habit sets to keep you engaged and keep you from the spontaneous moments, some God ordained. At bare minimum, the next time your child or your spouse says they need you, give them a few seconds and break away from the habitual for a moment. God-thinking finds out what they want, prior to saying, wait a minute, or what now, or worse.

Thought for the day

"God is not going to love you more if you lose weight - You will feel better and have better health and probably live longer, but God loves you just the way you are.

God is not going to value you more because you change the way you go into a relationship - You will have a much greater success in carefully choosing the who, what, when, why and where of your relationships,  but God values His creation, (you) by the atonement of His Son.

God is not going to care for you more if you stop smoking - or drinking to excess - or carousing - These are things you give up to benefit your life and those around you. God cares for you despite any and all of your shortcomings, inabilities, even indiscretions, but God knows that you will enjoy life more, greatly benefit those around you and be a more ready vessel for the things of God - when you make changes that benefit yourself.

God knows that you will have more joy, peace, wisdom, & happiness - more of everything good when you make decisions that reflect what you already know to be good for you. That's how God planned it.

Thought for the day

"The motivation to change your life or mine is to have a better life and to share that better life with those around us. We change out of a love for the person God made - ourselves - And the whole world will benefit with every positive change we make.

God is not going to love you more if you lose weight - You will feel better and have better health and probably live longer. But God loves you just the way you are."

I know that this isn't necessarilly popular with the churches that believe that holding down their parishioners and making everyone feel guilty about either not giving enough, not doing this right or not doing that right, but the truth about how much God loves His people must be exposed and lived and enjoyed.  Are you willing to believe that God loves you just the way you are or do you have guilt about all your short-comings?  It's worth your time to think about it.

Thought for the day

"God-thinking says that right here, right now, at the point of decision, we need to include God. We might begin our journey of changing like this:

Father God:
I intend to stop yelling at my kids - will you help me?
I intend to stop negative thoughts at their point of inception, will you reveal to me how?
I intend to stop cheating on my taxes, please show me Lord what I can do to be more honest.
I intend to change the way I eat, will you get into this program with me Lord?
Lord, I have had this habit for twenty years, will you work with me in letting it go?
Lord I am going to need you if I am going to succeed at anything.
Holy Spirit, empower me to overcome the obstacle or difficulty that I will encounter while working through this process.

Thank you Jesus for caring enough for me to see me through. Thank you for loving me and accepting me the way I am. That means so much to me. Amen"
