God Thinking LV - Life Is Like A Soufflé 1

"Life is like a soufflé.  Just because you have all the right ingredients to work with doesn’t mean that when you put them together and bake them, they will turn out to be an edible soufflé.

Without a good recipe, it doesn’t matter if you have all the right ingredients.  It’s what you do with the ingredients that determines what the finished product is going to be.

Somebody is going to get this in their soul.  The Lord specifically said to me to speak these words.  Quit making your own way.  Settle it.  God has spoken to you in times past, even when you were a child and offered you the recipe for a fulfilled life.

But I don’t need to tell you, that you and I have tried many other recipes.  None of them make a soufflé (God’s recipe for life), except God’s recipe.

Ten people can take the same ingredients, but how they mix them and how they use them (the recipe), determines what is made.

Without the right recipe, it doesn’t matter how many ingredients you have or how good the ingredients are, what you are making may not even be able to be recognized.

Let me give you a good example:

Let’s say that all of us were given all the ingredients to make a beautiful, light and fluffy soufflé.

After you mixed the ingredients and put them in a pan and baked them, would all end up with a soufflé?  No way.  Why not?!  We all have the same ingredients !!!

I venture to say that only a few of us could make a soufflé, because only a few of us know the recipe.

Even though everyone has the same ingredients, not everyone ends up with a soufflé. That's life."

God Thinking LIV - Did You Create Your Own Religion? 9

"Please hear God’s Word and let God impart to you Himself.
Word.

Psalms 119:28
 28.  “My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according to thy Word.”

Psalms 119:100-101
 100.  “I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Thy precepts.
 101.  I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep Thy Word.”

Psalms 119:103-105
 103.  “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
 104.  Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
 105.  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

Psalms 119:114
114.  “Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.”

Psalms 119:130
130.  “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”

Psalms 119:154
154.  “Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.”

Psalms 127:1
 1.  “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”

Colossians 3:16
 16.  “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Romans 8:31
31.  “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

You could not be sure of anything if it were not that God has written down for you, the book of life that reveals exacting truths that reveal and impart the heart of God in you.

God reveals in His Word:
  • The history of the creation of the world and everything in it.
  • The history of mankind and everything necessary to fully understand the motives, intents, character, personality and temperament of mankind.
  • God reveals everything in His Word necessary to secure unrestricted access to God Himself.
I wonder sometimes, what else could you possibly want from God?  Could it be that God's way is better than your way? Have you allowed thousands of years of religion to persuade you to follow a religion belief system and not follow the leading of the Holy Spirit of God within you?  Did you create your own religion?"

God Thinking LIV - Did You Create Your Own Religion? 8

"2 Corinthians 10:4-5, “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
 5.  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

That’s God-thinking - To bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ you need to read the Word of God in the Spirit of the Word, not the letter of the Word.

Too many Christians are trying to live out a spiritual life under the letter of the Word and not the Spirit of the Word.  Just try to talk to someone who thinks they know more than God Himself and you can see what happens when the reader tries to apply the living Word under the letter of the Word.

To bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ should be your hearts’ goal.

When it is your goal, the way you think, what you think about and what you think into being, is being transformed from -  the way you used to think (before you learned to rely on God to lead you and guide you) into the way you think now, which is to allow God to participate in your thinking, i.e., "to bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

I want to plant a tiny seed today into your mind.  If you could agree to allow God to have access to your mind for a few minutes, I believe God will impart into you:
His life changing Word
His mind transforming Word
His body healing Word
His attitude changing Word
His habit breaking Word
His love building Word
His miracle working Word

Can you imagine what it would be like if you didn’t have the Word of God and the promises contained within the Word of God?  If you never heard , “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls.”  Matthew 11:28-29
or
If God had never said, “by whose stripes ye were healed” 1 Peter 4:24
or
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16
or
“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” John 7:37
Can you imagine...?

God Thinking LIV - Did You Create Your Own Religion? 7

"God never received and was never impressed with how the religious or the irreligious have adulterated His Word, His truths, His plans and His way.

The reason for dealing with this subject, is not to talk down denominational organizations or to elevate non-denominations, it is to let you know that the truth is not found in organizations of any kind, it is found in the Word of God.

The truth is found in those who love God and seek Him with their whole heart, in spite of their religious affiliation.

God wants a people that love Him and seek Him and adore Him and understand Him and follow Him.  And the more you seek God through simple faith and the more you turn from specialized belief systems, the better off you will be.

As much as I would like to believe that (my church - your church) represents God’s truths with honor and integrity, you can make the same mistake as others if you take your eyes off of Jesus.

To make sure that you honor God, and that you don’t make the mistakes of the past and to make sure you don’t start to worship the organization, or trust in your heritage, you need to read the Word of God (on your own).

As you read the Word of God, seeking the truths of God (without any motive other than to please God and to be built up in the faith), the importance of insignificant doctrines and special rules that apply only to a certain select few and only apply if you are a member will become inconsequential.

When you seek God through His Word, looking deep within for the purpose of being changed, the Word comes alive and brings light into whatever darkness still resides in your life.  And given enough time, God will replace every thought to His glory."

God Thinking LIV - Did You Create Your Own Religion? 6

"God’s children are all borne of faith - from Abraham to you and I, God chooses His elect by their faith in His Son.

According to the scriptures there are two groups of people, not 1500 groups.  The two groups are Jews and Christians by faith (The Church), and Gentiles outside of the faith.

Today, there are still only two groups of people.  When Christ came He did not come to establish a third and separate sect or group of people called Christians.  He came to graft believing Gentiles with believing Jews to make one new body of believers called the Church and the other group is still the unbelieving gentiles.

Colossians 3:9-11, Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
 10.  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
 11.  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

One body called the Church, made up of believing Jews and believing Gentiles.  And one unbelieving body, the unbelieving Jews and the unbelieving Gentiles.

I want you to see how important it is to know this truth.

God in His infinite wisdom has not swayed with the masses or gone along with the brilliant religious minds who have created complicated doctrines of men.  There are two camps, one in Christ and one outside of Christ.  One accepted in the beloved and one rejected because of unbelief.

Why go there and discuss this sensitive subject?
Listen carefully.

The days of relying on your religious affiliation or your Christian or Jewish heritage in lieu of a personal and active relationship with God is over.
You will no longer be blessed for sidestepping - evading - denying - bypassing - dodging or  skirting God’s ordained will.

You will only be blessed when you fall under the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit of God."

God Thinking LIV - Did You Create Your Own Religion? 5

"Have you ever wondered why there are so many denominations when Christ calls us to be of the same mind?

There was never supposed to be multiple denominations - catholic, protestant, reformed, primitive, Apostolic, Charismatic, traditional, five fold ministry, Pentecostal, full gospel, ½ gospel, no gospel, intra-denominational, non-denominational, et al.

I say there was never supposed to be so many denominations because the scriptures call for unity, not separation and it is separation that most denominations practice and celebrate.

don’t get me wrong, they are already created and we need to look for the good in them, but there is no scriptural evidence of any religious order being created, ordained or institutionalized by God, except one.

According to the scriptures there has always been only one group accepted and that is His children, by faith.

According to the scriptures found in Ephesians 4:4-6, "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  5.  One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6.  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”

God Thinking LIV - Did You Create Your Own Religion? 4

"Let me make it clear..  If you read the scriptures to gain knowledge - you will gain
knowledge.

If you read the scriptures to prove a point about something you can do that too.

If you read the Word of God to know more than someone else - you can do that too.

If you read the scriptures to find loopholes so you can get around the essence of God’s truth - you can get that out of it.

But, what if you read the Word of God asking God to instruct you in righteousness?

What if you read the Word of God, deciding that you are going to believe every word that you read?

What if every time you saw something in the Word of God that you didn’t particularly like, you decided that you would believe God anyway and learn to like it?

What if, when you read the Word of God, you asked God to change you and transform you by allowing the truth of the Word to operate in you and through you?

Can you see the difference in reading the Word of God and reading the Word of God

God’s people are all unique and yet everyone is called to service to God in whatever station, service, job, marital status, they are in.  Despite where you work, what nationality you are, what gender you are, how old or how young you are, despite where you’ve been or what you’ve done - each and every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ has been called to put on the mind of Christ.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 2:5

God Thinking LIV - Did You Create Your Own Religion 3

"Romans 6:16, “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”

Whether you are a carpenter or and engineer, housewife or clerk, God wants you to be available for Him to reach the unbelieving world, in you and through you.

All the blessings that God has prophesied unto you are found in His Word.  God wants all His people to become familiar with Him and you become familiar with God when you read His Word.

The best way to do away with the cults and false religions of the world in this generation is to get people reading the Bible on their own, at home, in their car, at work, while exercising,
wherever you are.

Here’s why?
You don’t read the Word of God so that you can all be pastors.
You don’t read the Word of God so that you can all become theologians or Bible scholars, teachers or experts on biblical exegesis.
You don’t read the Word of God so that you can compete with others, (by knowing more Bible trivia than someone else).

You read the bible because it is the means of communication that God chose for mankind.  God did this so that you, in whatever station, would have all the information necessary to live a life of fulfillment and you would also have all the information necessary to glorify God.

Not only does the Word contain all that is necessary for instruction in righteousness, wisdom, holiness and heart purity, but God also imparts to you, Himself, through the Word of God.

Unlike any other book, God deposits more of Himself into you as you read, if, as you read, you read for the purpose of receiving from God, His timeless truths."

God Thinking LIV - Did You Create Your Own Religion 2

"Life wasn’t meant to be lived to its fullest somewhere down the road, later on in life, when things get better.  Life was meant to be lived to its fullest, today.
Here’s some practical truths, full of wisdom, worth adhering to.
  • Live life to the fullest.
  • Be content with what you have.
  • Dream as big as you can and at the same time work hard toward your goals.
  • Enjoy the pursuit of your goals and not just the attaining of the goal.
Too many Christians are not enjoying the path they’re on.
  • They think that if they could be on another path it would be better.
  • If they had just married a different person.
  • Oh, if they only had more money.
  • If my dad had been there for me.
  • If I could just get a raise.
Life is not about what ifs.  Life was meant to be used to the fullest for the glory of God.  Life is about your today’s and tomorrow’s.

What are you going to do with the rest of your life?
What are you going to do with what God has allowed to happen to you?
What are you going to do from now on?

Are you going to allow the flow of God to run through you by yielding to God - or are you going to stop the flow of God by yielding to self."

God Thinking LIV - Did You Create Your Own Religion 1

"1 Corinthians 10:31
31. “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
God wants you to allow the truths that you know, the wisdom you possess, the skills you attained and the talents you have nurtured - all to be used for the glory of God.
When you do, not only do you find your place in the scheme of things (because God foreordained it) but you also get all the benefits associated with being a recipient of God’s very best.
When you talk about finding your place in God’s foreordained plan, it’s not really about God trying to make preachers or teachers or ministers out of everyone.  God wants you, in your current station, (as an employer or an employee, a student or a teacher, a housewife or single mom, married or  single, young or old), to live out your life in a way that reveals Christ to others, in you and through you.
Once you understand your calling, i . e., (to reveal Christ in you), where you fulfill it and in what capacity becomes secondary.
Too many Christians believe this way:
  • When I move, then I am going to have people over.
  • When I change jobs, then I’ll help my wife or husband with the household chores.
  • After I find the right place, for the right price, and everything is just perfect, with no risk, I will start that business or ministry or whatever.
  • When I win the lottery I am going to give a big chunk to the church, feed the poor and help others in need.
God wants you to do things God’s way in your current circumstances, with your current income, at the current place you live at, with your current spouse."

God Thinking LIII - Getting Beyond Your Self 9

"Listen as I describe why it is so important to seek God as we have discussed in a new way, a deeper way, a way that reveals your true love, reverence, adoration and fear of God.

God is preparing a glorious mansion for you.  In that mansion, everything that God has prepared, (now catch this) on the other side, is already found in abundance on this side - and you miss it because of lack of faith and unbelief.

Now, I want to talk about this kind of prayer where you go into God’s presence - not to get, but to get beyond your self.

When you go to God to get beyond your self - God will show you how you have managed to grossly exaggerate the significance of the insignificant.

When you go to God to get beyond your self - Things that you once thought was paramount to your being fulfilled and happy, take on their true worth; inconsequential.

When you go to God to get beyond your self - You aren’t after anything, but you get what is not available to the one-minute prayer warrior.

When you go to God to get beyond your self - You become speechless, vacant and need-less.

When you go to God to get beyond your self
Your asking turns into awe
Your petitioning turns into reverence
Even your Praise becomes mute in the light of His presence.

When you go to God to get beyond your self - Your situations become opportunities.

When you go to God to get beyond your self - Your circumstances become an agreed place of testing.  You agree with God that going through your circumstances with His presence is better than being free from your circumstances outside of His presence.

When you go to God to get beyond your self - Your problems vanish like a vapor.

God turns it all around and moments or hours later you don’t think the same as you did.

When you go to God to get beyond your self - You come away ready to speak to your situation with boldness, knowing that while the Shekinah glory is glowing the words you speak have power and authority.

When you go to God to get beyond your self - You walk away with faith made in the heavens, faith that walks above the circumstance or situation or problem - faith that puts things in God’s Light.  Faith that starts to trust God through it all.  And faith that believes God for it all."

God Thinking LIII - Getting Beyond Your Self 8

"Hear Paul’s prayer to the Ephesians.
Ephesians 3:16-20
 16.  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
 17.  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
 18.  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
 19.  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
 20.  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”

God thinking keeps you in balance, like the delicate balance between religious and righteous, prudish and holy.

The balance that comes through personal experience.
The balance that allows for God to have His way with you.
The balance that comes as you examine the attributes of God as He reveals them to you.

God thinking goes deep to build strong roots and yet allows you to be real and imperfect, without condemnation.

God thinking teaches you that on the canvas of life there are many layers.  Sometimes the picture doesn’t look at all like what you thought it would be, but God steps in and brushes a few strokes and changes it all.

God steps in and verifies you
and encourages you
and empowers you
and enlightens you
and satisfies you

All that God does, He does to prepare you, now and for eternity.

When you pray - among all the other prayers you pray - I want you to consider to add to your prayers - prayer for preparation for eternity.

Note: If you believed that there was an eternity, wouldn't you have to believe that there might be some need for preparation?

God Thinking LIII - Getting Beyond Your Self 7

"It is in God’s intervention into the events of life that we come to recognize how fragile we are and how utterly dependent we are on our heavenly Father.
Who wants to be sick?
Who has never been sick?
Does God allow sickness in His saints?

God does not bring sickness.  Sickness is from the fall, but God does allow sickness and through it, whatever it is, God is just as there and just as concerned and just as Holy and just as righteous and just as powerful and just as actively involved as when you are well.

God does allow sickness, but in that sickness God is there equipping you and strengthening you in your weakness, revealing an attribute of God, not easily recognized when all is well.

It’s time lost if you don’t see God in it.  But if you do see God in it.................

You don’t choose the fire.
You don’t choose to be sick.
You don’t choose trouble - But when they come, you must see God in it, so that you won’t have to go through it alone.

It is time to take a quantum leap from where you were spiritually to a new level of awareness of God’s Holy presence.

You have grown (in the amount of power you are able to activate at any given moment.)  It was a miracle but God showed you favor and lifted you up and in some cases, delivered you.

In some, God built you up and gave you a confidence  to overcome things in your life, that you had not felt for years, or ever.

In some, God revealed His directive for your life, either for the day or the week or the future.

In another Jesus revealed Himself sitting on His throne, looking at you with a smile and favor.

God is pleased that we gather together to praise Him and worship Him - to adore Him - to talk about Him and to talk to Him.  God Thinking works.

You have grown tremendously.

Inside you have sensed God’s presence.

You sense that life is not futile, but beautiful.

You sense that you have purpose, at any age.

You have tasted of the Holiness of God and you like it.

God is so ready to make something great happen through you.  This is a prophetic word for you.  Are you ready to believe God to do through you what you never could imagine?"
