Too many
people give up too quick.
They
throw in the towel when they are half way there.
They give
up when the least little bit of testing comes their way.
They bail
if there comfort zone is tampered with.
They walk
at the first sight of long term commitment.
People
think that since they can get instant oatmeal - instant messaging - instant
loans - instant information - instant food - that they
can get instant abiding.
But the
very nature of abiding is all about the long haul, not the short stint.
God wants you to abide in what you believe long enough for God to reveal Himself, not once,
but over and over again.
I can’t
say enough about it.
Some of you are right now thinking about abandoning the very thing that is bringing the
blessing.
When
times get tough and there isn’t enough money to go around, who gets the short
end of the stick?
When
there’s too much to do and there isn’t enough time to do it, who gets cut
short?
Abiding
is hanging on like a hawk holds onto a fish.
Abiding
is standing firm despite what others say.
Abiding
is being faithful, not just talking about it.
Abiding
is holding on so tightly that even death cannot move you.
Abiding
is taking charge in the natural while waiting on God to take charge in the
supernatural.
Abiding
is not having a timeline on ‘how long’ - how long is determined by ‘when God.’
Abiding
is even deeper than commitment.
Commitment is when
you pass a certain point of no return.
Abiding is when
you stay there."
