Tools Of The Enemy 6

"Go with me to Luke 4:1-13
“And Jesus being full of the Holy ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
V2 Being forty days tempted of the devil.  And in those days He did eat nothing: and when they were ended, He afterward hungered.
V3 And the devil said unto Him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
V4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.
V5 And the devil said unto Him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto Me; and to whomsoever I will give it.
V7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
V8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind Me, satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.
V9 And he brought Him to Jerusalem, and set Him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
V11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
V12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
V13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from Him for a season.”

Can we agree that satan is real.  It’s hard to fight a battle against an enemy that you don’t believe exist.  satan is real.  he comes to the Son of God who was filled with the Holy Spirit and he comes to you also.

In this battle, Jesus fights His enemy with authority.  Jesus uses the word, “Get thee behind me, satan”.
This is a lesson for you.  When you get into battle and satan speaks his garbage to you, you must take authority and send
him away.

Jesus could do this because He met all the conditions of God required to have authority over satan.

You can do this because Christ has met all the conditions of God required to have authority over satan.  Christ in you has
empowered every believer, by faith, by the indwelling Holy Spirit of God to wield authority over satan.
You can say with authority:
Get thee behind me, satan.
Go away.
You have nothing that I want or need.
I have nothing to give you.
You have no rights or authority in my life.
I have nothing that you can claim.
You offer me nothing of value.
I want nothing to do with you.
Go away.

Jesus sets the example for you in trials, tribulations, and testing.  He was tempted in all manner of life, just as you are.  He was victorious and you can be too (by allowing the purity of Christ run through you and in you).  Victory comes when you know the Word and speak the Word (not when you somehow become sinless, which is not what is required).

When you stand against the enemy and send satan on his way, you can be sure that just like with Jesus, it is for a season.  He will be back.  That’s why the scriptures admonish you to be renewed day by day." The scriptures are not suggestions."
