He has
encouraged you - enlightened you and empowered you. God has done a great many things for you. You have grown in Christ,
to one degree or another.
You have
become stronger, wiser, more faithful, a better spouse, a better father or
mother, a better child. Really, because
of what God has done for us, you are better off.
So what’s
next? As I sought the face of God, I asked, “Lord, why does it seem like, the closer I get to you, the
greater the pressure from the enemy?”
What you
are about to hear is what I believe was my answer.
satan isn’t
after you because he thinks he can win you over or break the covenant that
Jesus has with you, the seal of the Holy Spirit.
he doesn’t
come after you to convert you - he knows he has already lost the war.
he comes
after you because he is evil. he is
wicked. he is demonic.
he has no
joy - no love. The
attributes that once shined like the sun have all been stripped away. satan is unable to do good. he is unable to think good thoughts. he cannot be converted. he is vile and void of all godliness. When he sees you, he sees Christ and that is devastating.
satan knows
that if he doesn’t discourage you or cause you to doubt, that you could do anything and heal and
convert the whole world."
