"Walking
in the Spirit
Don’t
let the devil fool you, you can walk in the Spirit. “This I say then,
Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17. For
the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the
flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the
things that ye would.” Galatians
5:16-17
Don’t
mis-interpret this important truth, you can live in the Spirit here on this
earth, however your flesh is not going to cave in easily. There is going to be a battle.
Here’s why:
When you are born again, your spirit is quickened, made alive and you enter into
eternal life. That’s right. Life at conception, not full term. At the conception of the new birth in Christ, your spirit is redeemed and you pass
from death to life.
Note: I know all the arguments for and against this most profound and important truth. There are as many views as there are philosophies, but the Word of God is more than a philosophy and delivers more than speculative truths. Mostly the vast discrepancies between one school of thought and another are all fought on the battlefield of your mind. Try to keep in mind that no matter what you have been told or what you currently believe is measured, in God's eyes, by the boisterous din of a pragmatic pastor or the dogmatic and austere position of the modern Bishop/Deacon/Prophet/Cardinal.
It is in the inner man that truth takes place and from faith is borne into belief. And it is in this belief that you hold that God sees and moves on, no one else and nothing else. No one before you, no one with you, no one beside you, no one representing you; only your faith and Christ mediation.
John 3:15
15.
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal
life.
John
10:27-28
27.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28. And
I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any
man pluck them out of my hand.
Your spirit
now lives under the guidance of the indwelling Holy Spirit, but the flesh was
not redeemed when your spirit was redeemed.
Your spirit
was redeemed for eternity, but your flesh must be redeemed
day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, decision by decision. Your spirit is life in Christ at the same
time that your body is dying. Can I have an Amen?"
