"And thou,
Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve Him with a willing
heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and
understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: If thou seek Him, He will
be found of thee;" 1 Chronicles 28:9a
"For I
know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace,
and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Please believe God) read again
V12 Then
shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken
unto you.
V13 And
ye shall seek me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your
heart.
V14 And I
will be found of you, saith the LORD:" Jeremiah 29:11-13a
Matthew
12:38-39
"Then
certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would
see a sign from Thee.
V39 But
He, (Jesus) answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation
seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of
the prophet Jonas."
Jesus knows
that people will seek after a sign.
There are entire denominations built on seeking a sign, but Jesus says
there will be no sign given except that of the prophet Jonas/Jonah.
"But
without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must
believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that seek Him." Hebrews 11:6
There is
nothing about seeking the face of God that you need to learn over and over
again. You seek goid diligently and you find Him and once you find Him you seek Him diligently. You do this to know Him.
And it is
better to know Him than to know anything.
It is better to find Him than to find anything.
For neither
the gifts of God, nor if you gain the whole world, can it be compared with God
Himself."
