23. For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24.
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in
Christ Jesus:
25.
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His
blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are
past, through the forbearance of God;
I want
you to think on this phrase, “faith in His blood.”
Is that where you have placed your faith?
Is there
something to having an understanding of the blood that could advantage you?
Could it
be that faith in His blood might make a difference in your ability to adhere to your Master’s ways?
Is there
something about the blood - something that takes place when you partake of His
blood through communion that you have missed?
Is there
power available, that you have overlooked, because you have agreed to consider
communion a duty of sorts - an acceptable religious observance - rather than a
partaking of the most sacred?
Is what you want out of this experience enough?
What if
God made a plan that I could receive from Him, during communion, all that I
cannot receive elsewhere?
The blood
has to be considered for faith to ever have any power. There’s power in the blood."
