God Thinking XII - Are You Faithful Or Just Religious? 7

"The faithful seek opportunity to serve, not swerve.

The faithful seek new ways to obey God, not new ways to justify old habits. 

God thinking holds that the kind of faith that trusts God is the real faith and the kind of faith that manipulates God is not faith at all.

There will come a time when your faith will be tested by the elements to see if it is real faith.  When the test of faith comes:

your thought

your reflection

your meditation

your ruminations must be;

Not my will, but Thy will, Oh Lord.

Whether you worship in a traditional way

Whether you are Evangelical, Pentecostal, Charismatic, Prophetic or Apostolic - faithful transcends title.

Faithful transcends title, position, education, station, philosophical bent, religious order and age.

Your relationship with God is interactive, not static as some purport.

Static is described in two ways.

1^st, God created the heavens and the earth and all that is in it.  God sets it in motion and is then separated from it until it runs its course.

2^nd, God creates the heaven and the earth and all that is in it.  God sets it in motion and occasionally checks in to see how it is going - tweaks it a little here and a little there and moves on until a later date.

Interactive is accurately defined like this:

God created the heavens and the earth and all that is in it.  God set it in motion by His Spirit and interacts by His will and in response to our will."
