God Thinking XII - Are You Faithful Or Just Religious? 5

"There are three distinct truths that you must understand and practice if you are to be faithful and find your true place in God’s economy.

1    Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  Romans 10:17

2     Faith is given by God, and cannot be earned through works.

3    Faith (that is given by God) will not exceed your faithfulness to the things of God.

Proverbs 28:20

“A faithful man shall abound with blessings....”

Can you have unswerving faith as James describes, without unswerving faithfulness?

Luke 16:10

“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”

Can you imagine a world where the unfaithful, those who blatantly disregard the Savior and those who love not the things of God, could, by faith, accomplish in prayer, their hearts desire?

God makes it clear in His Word that He gives you faith according to your faithfulness.  It makes sense does't it?"
