The bible
says, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is
Jesus Christ.”
Now here
is where I really want to go. This is
the part of this message that you must see and understand if you are to take back
some lost territory.
Now back
to 2 Corinthians 6:12-13
12. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold,
silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13. Every man's work shall be made manifest: for
the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire
shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
Not
everything that you build on this foundation is gold, silver or precious
stones. Sometimes you build with wood,
hay and stubble.
Here is
some revelation. You don’t have to build
the house to find out what it is to be build of. You can
find out before you even get started.
Just take
whatever it is that you are about to do and lay it before the Lord - on the
alter, so to speak, if it is burned up, it’s not worth building on - it’s not
worth getting into - it’s not worth your time, energy and money - it has no
real value - no eternal worth.
Just take
it to the Lord and if it stands the fire, it’s worth building on - it’s worth
getting into - it’s worth your time, your energy, our money - it has real value -
eternal worth.
If you
know that what you are about to do is going to be burned, when tested in the
fire, why do it?
I know,
it sounds too easy, but you either lay it before the Lord, try it in the fire,
and get His blessings, prior to getting into something - or - you can have it tested after you get into it and spend a good part of or all of your savings, give up some things or even give up what is precious to you." Either way it will be tested.
