God Thinking LXXXV - Pro-active perspective 2

"A Pro-active Perspective is a way to think.

The other type of thinking is when when you are thinking, (in the natural), you are primarily responding to the moment:
  • Responding without adequate preparation
  • Responding without an overall understanding of the consequences of your actions
  • Responding, not only without a full understanding of the moment, but without a full understanding of the future as well.

When you are thinking in the natural, too many things happen, “beyond your control” or “out of control.”

People that live in the natural spend most of their time, their money, their energy, their thoughts and their resources -
Making excuses
Wasting other peoples time
Putting out fires
Disappointed in themselves
Disappointed in others, (because no matter       what you do for them, it is never enough)
They are discouraged, depressed, lonely and miserable.

They live in a state of little if any preparation.

They are always asking someone else to meet their needs.

I’m not talking about the genuine poor.
I’m not talking about those who have had a bad break and they are trying to bounce back from a tragedy of some kind.
I am talking about those who live in the natural.

This can be the unsaved or the saved, the lost and the found, the Jew and the gentile:
Anyone who does not trust what God says
Anyone who does not know what God says
Anyone who seeks fulfillment outside of Christ
Anyone who tries to make it without the leading of the indwelling Holy Spirit
Anyone who doesn’t follow the Lord
Anyone with a wrong perspective about God and His creation.

If you want a right perspective about your life, you need a pro-active perspective - one that not only thinks in line with what God is doing today - but looks ahead to what God is going to do - and does today what will bring that vision to pass tomorrow.

God Thinking LXXXV - Pro-active perspective

"You need the right perspective in times like these.  A right perspective will keep you from losing your footing when things go awry. Will things go awry on occasion?

A false perspective or a warped perspective will alter the truth and the realty you live in.  See, God wants you to believe that things are the way He say’s they are, not the way Peter Jennings or Hollywood or your unbelieving friends and family or the media say’s they are, but God wants you to believe that things are the way God say’s they are.

To see the good in things you have to have God’s perspective.  In a sense we could call it God’s foresight - God’s foreknowledge, but for us I’m going to call it: a pro-active perspective.

A pro-active perspective will help you see more clearly when troubles come: or when there’s not enough money at the end of the month or when you are being treated unfairly or when something unfortunate happens or when you are facing something dread or when you are lonely or discouraged or depressed."

God Thinking LXXXIV - How To Get From Believing To Receiving 11

"Receiving - Lord, I want to get from believing to receiving.

Matthew 21:22
22.  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

God wants you abiding in your believing so that you can build up the understanding to believe for the right things.  You can believe for the wrong things.
 26.  “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?...”  Matthew 16:26

You can get and get and get and not be filled:
and not be inspired
and not be satisfied
and not be like Christ.

If you are to receive - it is just as important that you receive the right thing as it is that you receive.

There is less receiving today, because modernity has taken its toll on the godly life.

Fewer people have faith that transforms nothing into something.

Fewer people have the kind of faith that can believe for it today and wait for as long as it takes for it to come to pass.

We aren’t trained in the use of our spirit.  We aren’t challenged to dig deep and fly high.

There’s too much turmoil - clutter - chaos - disquiet - and confusion evading our space.

The world has forced itself on us and our family and we have yielded some of our time and resources to the enemy.

To get it all back and to come into your place with God and to make the jump from believing to receiving, requires allowing your mind to be filled with the things of God.

God thinking is about putting ‘on top’, in your mind, the things of God, and pushing down those things that are not of God until they are pushed out altogether.

Lord, I want to get from believing to receiving.

God gave you the formula.
Hearing
Agreeing
Believing
Abiding
Receiving

Note: I really enjoy creating these messages of hope and advanced lifestyle for the Christina believer.  I would be grateful for some comments.
Thanks, Keith

God Thinking LXXXIV - How To Get From Believing To Receiving 10

"Abiding. It’s when you are abiding in Him and not when you are still thinking about it, that God is able to bring about the desired end.

Too many people give up too quick.

They throw in the towel when they are half way there.
They give up when the least little bit of testing comes their way.
They bail if there comfort zone is tampered with.
They walk at the first sight of long term commitment.
People think that since they can get instant oatmeal - instant messaging - instant loans - instant information - instant food - that they can get instant abiding.

But the very nature of abiding is all about the long haul, not the short stint.

God wants you to abide in what you believe long enough for God to reveal Himself, not once, but over and over again.

I can’t say enough about it.
Some of you are right now thinking about abandoning the very thing that is bringing the blessing.
When times get tough and there isn’t enough money to go around, who gets the short end of the stick?
When there’s too much to do and there isn’t enough time to do it, who gets cut short?

Abiding is hanging on like a hawk holds onto a fish.
Abiding is standing firm despite what others say.
Abiding is being faithful, not just talking about it.
Abiding is holding on so tightly that even death cannot move you.
Abiding is taking charge in the natural while waiting on God to take charge in the supernatural.
Abiding is not having a timeline on ‘how long’ - how long is determined by ‘when God.’
Abiding is even deeper than commitment.

Commitment is when you pass a certain point of no return.
Abiding is when you stay there."

God Thinking LXXXIV - How To Get From Believing To Receiving 9

"Abiding - John 15:4-5
4.  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
 5.  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Abide in what you believe long enough to turn into something. Abide in what you believe long enough for God to show Himself worthy and to reveal His glory.

Listen, when you want something to taste real good, you don’t just throw it in a pan and take it out real quick - no way - you saute’ it or marinate it or soak it or blanch it or slow cook it.  You want your dish to take on the flavors of the seasonings or spices you use.

God wants you to abide in what you believe:
To practice it
To use it
To tell it
To season it with faith
To see it go through a few things
To watch the faithfulness of God as He works in it
To build a testimony

John 15:4-5

There are no timelines here.
The things of God are eternal."

God Thinking LXXXIV - How To Get From Believing To Receiving 8

"Believing - Matthew 8:13
 13.  And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.

Some of us have been flip-flopping with God.  We have faith to move mountains one day and on another day we do not have faith enough to give a decent testimony.

Those who hold on get to see the hand of God.
Mark 11:24
24.  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

John 20:29
29.  Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

If you want to start receiving more of what you are believing for, then you will have to start believing in what you cannot see.
If you want to be blessed:
  • Blessed in your household
  • Blessed in your family
  • Blessed in your workplace
  • Blessed in your pocketbook
  • Blessed in your opportunities
  • Blessed in your relationships
  • Blessed in your ability to win against a bad habit
  • Blessed in your ability to turn things around
  • Blessed when you go to sleep
  • Blessed when you wake up
  • Blessed in your going forth
Start believing for what cannot be seen.
Start believing God for something bigger than just barely getting by
Start believing what God says
Start believing the scripture concerning miracles
Start believing God at His Word
Start producing something out of nothing
Start making things happen because you can
Start believing for the impossible
Give God something to work with.

God Thinking LXXXIV - How To Get From Believing To Receiving 7

"Here’s another way that we justify our disobedience:
We expect God to be in agreement with us, even without consulting God or seeking His truth - We expect God to go along with what we have proposed - with what we have said - with what we have done?

God wants you in agreement with Him, not the other way around.

If you make up your mind to do something without consulting with God, should you then expect that God should agree with what you have done?

Do you decide how you are going to live and who you are going to have a relationship with and where you are going and then ask God to agree with your design?

Have you ever decided that you want something so much that you didn’t go to God with it, because you know that God would not approve?  - But later on when you need out, you go to God?

If God is in it in the beginning, you won’t need bailed out.

To have a right relationship with God you must be in agreement with what God wants for you, not what you want from God.

God is not fooling around.  Life isn’t some game to see how long you can escape from seeking and agreeing with God.

Everything that you need, to live a fulfilled life, in God’s will, has always been and now is available, but do you agree with God so that you can receive it?

God has not left you in the dark.  Not one person will stand before God and be able to honestly say “I didn’t know you wanted me to do that.”

Learn to agree with God and life will shine like the Sun/Son.  The rough times will have meaning and the good times will be better."
