1. You must keep God’s commandments I John 3:22
2. You must ask in faith James 1:6
3. You must believe God will answer Matthew 21:22
4. You must ask in Jesus name John 14:147.
5. You must ask according to God’s will I John 5:14
2. You must ask in faith
"If
any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men
liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. V6 But let
him ask in faith, nothing wavering.
For he that wavereth
is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and
tossed. V7 let not that man think he shall receive
anything of the Lord” James
1:57.
“But
without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that cometh to
God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder
of those that diligently seek Him” Hebrews 11:6.
Prayer
without faith is simply void.
“Now faith
is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews
11:1.
This
biblical definition in Hebrews 11:1 is so powerful and full of explanation as
to what faith is, but it does not tell us how to get faith.
- Faith is imparted to us by Jesus Christ.
- Faith grows as our relationship with Christ grows.
- Faith grows proportionately to the desire we have to come to a full knowledge of God.
As you
search His Word, identify with His will, and subject ourselves to His
teachings, you will grow in faith.
Faith
comes - through trust - by experience.
As you
place our trust in God, He gives you faith to see things from a supernatural
view. As you see
things from the supernatural way that God sees them, your faith increases. “So, then, faith cometh by hearing,
and hearing by the Word of God” Romans 10:17.
Faith is
the invisible witness of your trust in God.
Faith is
the intangible force that empowers us to actively participate in God’s plan in
a tangible way.
Faith is
the substance that fills you when you are without and empty and desperate.
