To obey
God’s commandments, simply means, that you understand, that God, through His
infinite wisdom, knows more about your body and your mind and your spirit than
you do, and you choose to follow His prescription for receiving His
promises.
By
choosing God’s prescription for receiving God’s promises, you abide in those
precepts that:
- guarantee personal satisfaction for your body
- provides infinite inquiries to stimulate your minds
- and imparts spiritual fulfillment, as the Holy Spirit dwells in you and fills you with joy, peace and power.
If God
says His commandments are not burdensome, why do we say that they are?
How can
we say that we love God, that we trust God, and that Jesus is Lord if we do not
follow God's leading in our lives?
You
thought I was going to say God's commandments instead of God's commandments for our lives. God's leading and God's commandments are one in the
same, because God will not ever lead you or guide you to do anything contrary to
His Word.
Note: This one truth is real important to repeat over and over again until you sense in your spirit that you fully understand it. Understanding this truth will empower you to have the confidence to know without any doubt that you can keep God's commandments. Keeping God's commandments is not found in reaching some level of perfection in behavior. It is perfection in direction that meets God's criteria.
