Going back to where you started. In school, at home growing up, in college, Sunday School and even in Sunday service you have been taught what to think. But adequate time and energy, devotion and meditation has not been presented to us on 'how to think'. And yet 'how we think' is just as important as what you think.
Listen to the scriptures and let them have the pre-eminence in you mind and in your inner man. Isaiah 26:3, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
