Hear the
Word of the LORD:
“Thou wilt
keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee; because
he trusteth in Thee.” Isaiah 26:3
This truth from God is always true, but there is a great chasm between what God speaks that is true and what God speaks that is true in your life.
This truth from God is always true, but there is a great chasm between what God speaks that is true and what God speaks that is true in your life.
Listen
carefully to this example:
Is it
true that Jesus is the Savior? YES
Is there
anything that could possibly change that from being true? No
Is Jesus
the Savior in the mind of those who deny Him?
No
If Jesus
is the Savior, why is He not the Savior in those who do not believe in
Him?
Because
even though it is true that Jesus is the Savior, He is not the Savior in their mind
and in their heart. Heart and mind
being synonymous in this respect.
Let’s
look at Isaiah 26:3 again:
“Thou wilt
keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee; because
he trusteth in Thee.” Isaiah 26:3
It will always be true that God will “keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on (God). But your mind is not always stayed on Him, so you are not always in perfect peace.
It will always be true that God will “keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on (God). But your mind is not always stayed on Him, so you are not always in perfect peace.
Or, to
put it a little differently, (for perspective), you don’t have perfect peace
when your mind is not stayed on Him.
