You could
get some of the secular points of goal setting from a Dale Carnegie or a Norman
Vincent Peale seminar, but how to integrate your goal with how God intervenes
and interacts with you can only come by revelation from God.
That’s
what we are going to look, ‘how to have a goal, a desire, a
dream or a task at hand and be in agreement with the will of God.’
Is God in
the center of what you are planning?
Is God in
the center of what you are doing? What does goal setting have to do with spirituality?
It has everything to do with spirituality.
Your goals
and dreams and tasks at hand should reflect your love and dependence on God.
If you are
not in full understanding of the way that God interacts with you, then when you
establish your dreams and goals, they will be based solely on your own natural
ability.
When your
dreams, goals and tasks at hand are developed from your natural ability, they
cannot glorify God, because they require no faith, and the Bible says that “without faith it is impossible to please God.” Hebrews
