“Let this
mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 2:5
Have you
ever wondered why there are so many denominations when Christ calls us to be of
the same mind?
There was
never supposed to be multiple denominations - Catholic, Protestant, Reformed,
Primitive, Apostolic, Charismatic, Traditional, Five fold ministry,
Pentecostal, Full gospel, ½ gospel, No gospel, Intra-denominational,
Non-denominational, et al.
I say
there was never supposed to be so many denominations because the scriptures
call for unity, not separation, and it is separation that most denominations
practice and celebrate.
Don’t get
me wrong, they are already created and we need to look for the good in them,
but there is no scriptural evidence of any religious order being created,
ordained or institutionalized by God, except one. According
to the scriptures there has always been only one group accepted and that is His
children, by faith.
According
to the scriptures found in Ephesians 4:4-6, "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye
are called in one hope of your calling; 5. One
Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6. One
God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
