Thought for the day

"You cannot blame God when things go awry, when things go wrong, when sickness, disease, pain, suffering, indiscretions, sin, wickedness and death come your way. It would be like blaming the potter every time you drop a dish. Too many people spend too much of their time - in their mind - in the part of their lives that cannot be changed, i.e., the past.

Any time that you give the past, in the way of; remorse, guilt, hatred, revenge, anger towards another, anger towards God, dragging up old bones, thinking about old flames, remeembering fallen preachers, perseverating on unanswered prayer, unkept promises, unforgiven debt - anything that is taking time away from your now and your future, it is not only taking up valuable time, it is causing you to perpetuate the same kind of thinking that has held you back or kept you from reaching that next goal in life, in the first place.

God-thinking requires you to live in God's time, right now, attentive to His message, attentive to His calling, attentive to His leading. Nothing in your life happens yesterday."
