Thought for the day

"There are three distinct truths that we must understand and practice if we are to be faithful and find our true place in God's economy.

1 Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
2 Faith is given by God, and cannot be earned through works.
3 Faith (that is given by God) will not exceed our faithfulness to the things of God.

Proverbs 28:20 "A faithful man shall abound with blessings...." Can we have unswerving faith as James describes, without unswerving faithfulness? Luke 16:10 says "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much."
