God Thinking XXXVII - I Challenge You To A Belief Duel 7

"Are there some things to do with God that you are guessing about?
  • God is not pleased with people who guess about His creation.  God created the world and everything in it, from nothing to something.  The Big Bang - out; Evolution have no place in the lives of those who believe God.
  • God is not pleased with those who guess about His Bible.  The Bible is the Word of God in print.
  • God is not pleased with those who guess about His Son.  Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son.
  • God is not pleased with those who guess about their salvation.  “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
  • God is not pleased with those who guess about who they are in Christ.  You are the temple of the Holy Spirit and God works His purpose in you and through you.
  • God Thinking is about seeking and getting revelation in the things of God so you can get on with the work that God has purposed you for or purposed for you.
  • God’s purpose in your life is not fulfilled by accident.  It is fulfilled by prophesy.  God has prophesied, (by His foreknowledge):
Who you are in Him
What you need in order to fulfill His purpose
What you need to believe Him
And what the outcome of that belief will be

God Thinking XXXVII - I Challenge You To A Belief Duel 6

"If you want the principles of God to work in your life, you need to receive and believe each truth that God has spoken.

The scriptures are clear.
  • Nobody will guess their way to heaven.
  • Nobody, not one, will guess a healing into existence.
  • Nobody will guess a child into the kingdom of heaven.
God designed you to be sure and secure in the things of God, and nothing less will do.

Hear and receive this definition of belief.  Live it and let it be a standard to measure all else by.  You will change from guessing about to speaking to.
Believe: To be fully persuaded; having your mind made up, convinced beyond question, without any doubt, past the point of turning back, that the object of your belief, (what you are believing for), will be accomplished.

God Thinking XXXVII - I Challenge You To A Belief Duel 5

"Have you noticed, It doesn’t take much to be an expert today, does it?

My boy went on his first helicopter ride at Hunsaker Farms, (a pumpkin field) years ago.  When he came down, he was so excited.  He began to tell us everything about a helicopter.  Now keep in mind, he couldn’t talk to the pilot, nor could he hear anything except the roar of the engine.

But somehow, on this helicopter ride, he was endowed with infinite wisdom concerning helicopters and their operations.  For the next three days he was telling us all about helicopters.

It is kind of funny in a story like this about a child, but you have Christians going about purporting to be experts about this doctrine or that doctrine without having it substantiated by the Word of God.  They build doctrines on silly and unsubstantiated claims, guessing about how God does this or that, instead of believing what God says and operating in His truths.

Belief and making up your mind about something are synonymous.  Until you make up your mind about something, what you call belief is just guessing.

To receive revelation from God that will help you to know exactly where you are with God, you have to take the way you think, from guessing - to belief.

God Thinking XXXVII - I Challenge You To A Belief Duel 4

"Even believers say they believe what God says, but when put to the test, often they fail miserably; not because they are human, like so many say; God doesn’t hold that against us, but because they say they believe, when really they are just guessing.
Guessing will not unlock and release the truth of God to be activated on your behalf for use.  Belief will.
  • Guessing won’t change a thing.  Belief will.
  • Guessing doesn’t move God. Belief does.
  • Guessing doesn’t save anybody.  Belief does.
  • Guessing doesn’t comfort anybody.  Belief does.
  • Guessing doesn’t build faith.  Belief does.
  • Guessing doesn’t know what to do about what God says is His way.  Belief does.
  • Guessing looks good, but it is just like playing Russian Roulette or gambling the odds;

God calls people to believe and nothing less will do.
The soul is not something to be guessing about.

God Thinking XXXVII - I Challenge You To A Belief Duel 3

"The principles that God established to be put into operation by His people can only be made available to His people when sponge-like belief is present.

It is belief that ignites or activates a truth and takes it from its hidden or stored state and puts it into operation in its active use state.

I want you to get this sense of the sponge-like belief, so that as you define belief, you can apply a simple litmus test to determine if you truly believe what you say you believe.

Belief has been falsely defined in every generation.  God gave us His Word and provides every truth necessary for a complete and satisfying relationship with Himself and with mankind.  But, satan will do anything to keep you from believing what God has said to you.

It has always been a ploy of satan to imitate or mimic the truth with a false word.  It has always been the ploy of satan to make God’s truths seem ambiguous and obscure in hopes that you will not believe what God says.

It has always been the plan of satan to have you guessing.  Even though God says His Word is simple and easy to understand, satan has convinced far too many people that the Word is difficult and cumbersome.

Think about it.  Who should you believe concerning an issue like this, God or satan?

See, your destiny and the effectiveness of your life for God, hinge upon what you believe.
Note: If this kind of challenge to your faith offends you then you have been desensitized by religion.  satan is your real enemy and true belief is your only weapon to repel satan's plots against you.  It does matter what you believe.

A false view of what belief is can give a false sense of security to those who think they are something they are not or think they possess something they don’t."

God Thinking XXXVII - I Challenge You To A Belief Duel 2

"I think it’s time to set in order, i.e., establish where we are - Not where we are in relation to time.  We have already looked at where we are in time and we established that we are very near, year 6,000.  Not in relation to dispensations, because we have already established and acknowledged that we are in the dispensation of Grace.

I want to establish where you are in relation to God.

Instead of saying where are you in time? Or where are you in God’s overall plan for mankind, the question I want to ask is where are you in relation to God.

The answer to this question lies within what you believe.

I want to reveal to you, that what many people call belief is not belief at all, and what is true belief works just like Jesus says it does.

What most people call belief about God, the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit, is not belief.  It really should be called guessing.

Here’s the thing.  Unless you are convinced, thoroughly convinced, like: 'Let’s say you take a sponge and you squeeze the sponge and push it down into the water, and slowly release it so that the sponge is thoroughly saturated.'  Unless you are convinced of a truth, in the same way as the thoroughly saturated sponge, you have no authority with that truth.  That truth has no efficacy in you.

Until you truly believe a truth, it stays the truth, but you cannot operate under the power of it. That truth remains stored for later use.  It is stored in the Word of God, until, by faith, you believe it.  Then and only then, is it released to you for use."

God Thinking XXXVII - I Challenge You To A Belief Duel 1

Luke 8:4-15
“And when much people were gathered together, and were come to Him out of every city, He spake a parable:
V5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
V6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
V7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
V8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold.  And when He had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
V9 And His disciples asked Him, saying, What might this parable be?
V10 And He said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
V11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God.
V12 Those by the wayside are those that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the Word out of their hearts, lest (for fear that) they should believe and be saved.
V13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the Word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
V14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
V15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the Word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”

This word (keep it) literally means (to believe, to hold fast to, possess and retain, continue to believe in).

I am going to show you something about this word believe that will change the way you look at and define belief, forever.

To believe:  To be fully persuaded; having your mind made up, convinced beyond question, without any doubt, past the point of turning back, trusting implicitly, that the object of your belief, (what you are believing for), will be accomplished.

Can you just believe God for what He does with you today?
Can you believe God for what He tells you today?

If you believe - you can’t help but to receive:

What are some things that you cannot help but receive if you believe?
salvation - the indwelling Holy Spirit - power to overcome - answered prayer - healing for our bodies emotional healing - many blessings - new creation
