3. God, through Jesus Christ, has fitted us to
receive all the gifts of the Spirit.
Think of it
this way. God is the potter and you are
the clay. Just as God has made each of
us with our own signature, thumb print, character, personality, talents and
skills, God fits us and fills us with
His gifts as it pleases Him, And it pleases Him to fill you completely,
lacking nothing.
As you open your hearts to Him and let Him have more and more of yourself, God fills you with more and more of Himself, reserving nothing. God wants His people empowered. And He made sure that you would be empowered
by sending the Holy Spirit to live within you.
This way nobody can get in the way and mess it up. Nobody can get closer to you than the Holy
Spirit already is.
All of
God’s blessings are available to you at all times. You must believe God for this to happen. You must lay aside untruths that have confined
us to a powerless life. God has
empowered you by abiding in you.
And that
brings us to the fourth thing that Jesus did for you."
