Unbelief is your
grand excuse when all else fails and your faith caves, and your will succumbs.
Unbelief gives
birth to doubt and life gets real difficult fighting two battles. You fight against unbelief and you fight
against the will of God at the same time.
You don’t
want to give in to your doubt, but you don’t have the character to give in to
God.
Unbelief as a
familiar friend is there to lean on when God seems a million miles away.
You say you want to draw closer to God, but when you get closer, more and more of what was
once precious to you gets burnt up and as you possess less and less, you fear
running out.
God will
come to you and comfort you, but God isn’t going to come to you and tickle your
ears with nonsense.
God isn’t
going to come to you and address you in this manner:
Excuse
me, I’m not sure how to put this to you, but after you are finished with your
show, if you could just give me a few minutes - I promise not to keep you - I
just want to know if you are interested - if you want me to come back at
another time.
You have
to agree that to one degree or another you have made a mockery of God’s will for your life.

Chronicles 36:15-16
15. And the Lord God of their fathers sent to
them by His messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because He had
compassion on His people, and on His dwelling place:
16. But
they mocked the messengers of God, and despised His words, and misused His
prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till there was
no remedy.
I am sure
that God wants you to be blessed and to live out this life with the best of
every bit of God’s creation.
God wants you to enjoy the fruit of your labor - to be happy and full of joy and to have
peace during troubled times.
God
designed a way for you to have all this and even more.
Psalms
33:4-5 4. For the word of the Lord is right; and all
his works are done in truth.
5. He
loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of
the Lord."
