What once
seemed boring and unimportant, becomes fresh and delightful.
What once
seemed tough and obscure becomes easy and clear.
You see
with excitement the little gems the preacher carefully extracted from the mine
of God’s heart.
After you
have been alone with God, you get hungry for more, because God gives you an
insatiable appetite for Him. His ways
don’t look so stringent and difficult.
His ways
start to look good to you, full of liberty and easy to accommodate.
After you
have been alone with God, you see things differently. You once looked around at Church and didn’t
see much, just the same people week after week, seldom moved and seldom seeing
more than what meets the eye - but after
a few moments aware of the presence of God - those people come alive with
something to offer and a special importance, as if they were superstars or
presidents, kings and queens, friends and allies.
You see
more clearly.
You see
ahead.
You start
to envision yourself forward and it looks real good.
You hear
more succinctly the voice of God.
Your
understanding is widened.
Your
spiritual eyes begin to see beyond yourself, deeper and wider, further and
clearer.
You sense
God at more junctures.
Your
awareness of the presence of God is more frequent.
You begin
to think only good thoughts about God and His kingdom, His ways and His
plan.
When you
meet God alone, He reveals His Son and purifies your perception of the Holy
Spirit.
God wants
you to get alone with Him to reveal to you true power. All of God’s creation comes short of
fulfilling you after you meet Him alone.
After a real-time interview with God, computer games, X-box,
Game Boy, Game Cube, Ps-3, DSL, T1, TV, Cable all wane. They all come short.
Nothing
compares to a God alone experience - no adventure, no thrill, no roller
coaster, no bungy-jumping, not parasailing, not NASCAR, space travel, mind travel, not even love,
even begins to thrill like a God infusion."
