3. Can
two walk together, except they be agreed?
Isaiah
1:18
18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith
the Lord: though
your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red
like crimson, they shall be as wool. Can two
walk together, except they be agreed?”
Let me
ask you plainly.
Are you
in agreement with God - with what God has proposed - with what God has said -
with what God has done - with what God has promised - with what God has asked
of you - with what God has commanded of you?
Plainly,
one of the primary reasons why some things have not come to pass in your life is:
You’ve been to God
You’ve heard it preached
You’ve seen it in the Word
You have been instructed in the heart by the indwelling
Holy Spirit
And you don’t agree with God.
God says
wait and you don’t wait - you jump ahead.
God says
go and you wait - because you don’t want to go.
God says
no, and you go ahead anyway - and given enough time and a little support from
the world and you can justify just about anything.
If you are
getting your confirmation outside of the Word of God - you will be outside of the
will of God.
You can
look elsewhere - but you will find only things that tantalize
and tickle - things that incite and arouse, but the truths that carry on and
remain true while you are here and beyond - they are only found in the
scriptures and personal communication between you and God."
