Many preachers, (the priest of today), use this verse to
make you and I tithe out of guilt, and this was never the intentions of the
scriptures.
As a matter of fact, God never uses guilt as a motivator,
but I bet you know who does.
Hear the Word of the Lord: Let’s read 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
again, “ “...He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he
which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
V7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so
let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God
loveth a cheerful giver.
V8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you;
that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good
work:”
Does the principle of tithing work? Yes, it was instituted by God for the benefit
and to benefit His people and His priest.
Is tithing a law of God, that must be followed by the
Church in order to be in a right standing with God? No.
Note: Please share yesterday's blog and today's with your pastor. Knowledge is power, not obligation or duty or guilt.
