God will
wait you out, but He isn’t going to change the way He operates to make you feel
good about doing life on your terms.
2 Timothy 4:1-4
“I charge thee therefore
before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead
at His appearing and His kingdom;
V2 Preach the Word;
be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all
longsuffering and doctrine.
V3 For the time will
come when they (those who live by their own doctrine), will
not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears;
V4 And they shall
turn away theirs ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
This is happening
today.
Christianity was
never meant to be privatized.
God tells the whole
world the same truth.
God is no respecter
of persons.
God gave you His Word
in writing to be believed and obeyed and the Word of God is a discerner ofy our
thoughts, whether you are serving God or self.
Hebrews 4:12
“For the Word of God
is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to
the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is
a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Catch this deep-end
truth.
As a discerner of
thoughts, the Word of God, either credentializes what you believe, and releases
the power and authority of God’s Word - or - the Word of God stands against
what you believe and does not provide any power, authority or efficacy.
When God stands
against an individual of his or her private interpretation or an
ideology of it’s false tenets of faith, God simply strips it of it’s ability to
make change. It might look good, feel
good & sound good, but without the blessing of God, it is void of the power
and authority of God, to change you.
-
The Word of God is the high prize.
- The Word is the final authority.
- The Word of God either canonizes your personal experiences or strips them from power.
