God
doesn’t want you coming into His presence having it all figured out, nor
does He want you coming into His presence with pre-conceived ideas of
what you will receive.
Don’t get
me wrong, if we were talking about prayer, we have every right to pray in faith
believing with expectation that we will receive what God reveals to us that we
should have.
But this
place, this inner court, this holy of holies, this place where you present
yourself to God, with no agenda - This place where you say 'not my will, but
thine' and mean it - This place where you give it all up.
-
You don’t come away from this place disappointed.
- You don’t come away from this place empty handed.
- You don’t come away from this place with questions.
- You don’t come away from this place seeking something else.
- You don’t come away from this place not quite sure if it were God.
- You don’t come away from this place the same person as you went in.
