"God does not need you to pray so that He will know your needs or requests. You pray to communicate with God, not to enlighten God. You pray to hear from God and to be inspired by God. You pray as a witness or testimony that God is able to do as He says and to bring all things into subjection to His will. The fact that you pray is your confirmation of God=s existence, sovereignty and holiness. Prayer is not a one-way conversation with God, (where you speak, God listens, and you get what you want). NO, prayer is a unique and conscious unity of your spirit with the Holy Spirit."
