"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1
Is God your refuge, strength and a very present help in trouble in your life? I would hope that your life doesn't have any trouble, but if and when it does, you need to know in your heart that God is not only aware, but a participating partner in you troubles. How do you know that God is participating? Because God says so.
I know from experience that God even helps those who are unwilling to yield to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Of course those who are aware of God's participation, have an advantage, in that they know what their part is to bring it to pass and they understand that God must do some things to bring it to pass. It is in the knowing what your part is and knowing what God must do to bring it to pass that makes one wise.
When you pray about a thing, God moves all of creation toward a desired end for your situation, but along with what God does, you need to do some things also to bring it to pass; that's co-creating. We were made to: Pray about a situation and then do what we are lead to do by God and recognize what God must do to accomplish the task and then work while waiting. It is really important to believe God's Word. It makes all the difference. Believing what God says is part of the solution, because belief activates the faith necessary to bring God's supernatural intervention to pass.
Wait, you say!!! What's this about God's supernatural intervention? When God created everything, part of that creation was you. God also created parameters that you must work within; (the sciences) Within these parameters, you have available all the components necessary to do your part of everything that comes up in life. Also (within these parameters) God provided for believers access to God's supernatural intervention. It is part of who you are as a believer. You would be using this supernatural intervention on a regular basis if you understood and believed that God does provide it. What if you don't believe it? Then you will be unaware of what God is doing on your behalf. Being unaware of what God is doing is a little like not knowing if God is intervening or not.
