God Thinking XCIX - The Power Of The Blood 3

"Mercy also describes what God has done for man.  Mercy is provided at every wrong turn and when you rebel and you fight the will of God.  Mercy is God’s way of allowing you to find God without having to die first.  Grace and mercy is God’s way of revealing His true character to you.

You hardly feel worthy to accept God’s unfathomable mercy and grace and yet God has done more than accept you and forgive you. God has empowered you in your current condition to overcome and live with dignity by understanding and using God's mercy and grace.

Early this week I was asking God, “what is it that God would be pleased with, so that we could come to God and receive what God has planned for us?”

The power of the blood is the answer."

God Thinking XCIX - The Power Of The Blood 2

"At times your free will is going to derail you from God’s perfect will.
At times your actions are going to keep you from God’s very best.
At times you are not even going to want to comply with God.

And at the same time, God is going to complete you and finish what God started in you.

How can this be?  God is going to bring you into perfection and alignment with His perfect will, while you are on this side of heaven and while you are imperfect (in will actions and reactions).

There’s only one answer to all these questions.
The blood of Jesus.

The word that defines what the blood of Jesus can do is grace. Grace is the one word that reveals all that God has done so that God and man could fellowship together, and you need grace.

God is pouring out His grace on you right now.
You are forgiven.
You are accepted in the beloved.
You are redeemed and adopted and renewed and anointed, all by the grace of God. If you have accepted Jesus as your saviour, all is well with your standing with God."
Note: Most Christians and most pastors just can't say the words, 'all is well with God and me.'  Like there is some shame in being imperfect and relying on the perfection of Christ as the measure of their righteousness. So many people are still trying to earn it. You cannot earn the favor of God, but you can receive it. You cannot work your way into a better position/standing with God based on your behavior, but you can accept God's grace that God has already bestowed on you despite your imperfect behavior. No, this does not mean that you now have a license to sin, nor does it mean that you turn your back on managing your behavior that best fits a child of God. But it does mean that while you are on the journey you understand that Jesus is carrying you through, all the way, on His merits. Some people just don't like the fact that they have struggled all their life and gave up so much to be religious and someone who is an utter failure in the eyes of man, but has accepted the Power of the blood, will be accepted in the beloved equally. Imagine that, God is better equipped to judge than you.

God Thinking XCIX - The Power Of The Blood 1

"I was contemplating, “what is it that God would be pleased with, so that I could come to God and receive what God has planned for me?”

I was thinking deeply about what could I say, or what could I do or what setting could I provide that would lend itself to draw God near to me.

I was questioning what I could say that would bring about a move from God on my behalf.

I was reminded that God doesn’t need any help from me or anyone to bring about His mighty power and blessings.

I wanted to know, “Lord, what is deep and full of your power?”

You know, we all want to receive from God.  Whether we are open and vocal about it or closed and pensive, all of us are hoping that God will look favorably on us.

All of us are seeking the mercy of God.
All of us desire a touch from God
All of us have placed our hope in a living Savior
All of us want God to move on our behalf
All of us want our bodies to come into alignment with our mind and we count on God to do it.
Isn’t it true that as you work and toil, as you enjoy life and suffer occasionally, that at each turn, at each juncture - you look to God to fill in the gaps, to complete youo finish what God started.

Hebrews 12:2
 2.  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

God is going to finish what God started when God made you.  But there is a huge problem.  You aren’t going to comply with everything that God designed for you."

God Thinking XV - Train Your Mind to Think God Thoughts 9

  • "God has ordained for you, by His foreknowledge the very best plan possible, one designed just for you.
  • God knows when and where you are going to decide to follow Him.
  • God knows when and where you are going to stop driving this ship.
  • God knows when and where you are going to surrender to Him and follow His design.

When you get a clear picture of God’s design for your life, you want it to be His way.   You see your purpose by God’s design.
  • When you want what God has purposed.
  • When you seek what God has blessed.
  • When you hope for what God has placed on your path.
  • When you go where God has called you to go.
  • When you are who God called you to be.
Are you hearing me?
  • When your goals are God breathed.
  • When you desire what God has foreordained.
  • When it’s your dream to do what God is doing.
  • When your vision is God’s vision.
When it becomes natural to think God thoughts, the burden and the weight of this life will grow strangely dim.
  • The problems
  • The financial pressure
  • The long hours
  • The heartaches
  • The problems
  • The past
  • The stress and strain
  • The pain
All grows strangely dim and less significant.

I can say without any doubt that God’s design for your life is a beautiful thing.
God has paved a way for you that is far above and beyond anything you could dream or desire.
God has designed you with a purpose that must apprehended and understood by faith.

God thinking  - believes that God’s design for you produces God’s purpose in you.

Are you following God’s design in your life?
If you are following God’s design, you should rejoice that God has revealed this to you.

If you are not following God’s design in your lives, you can.  You can start where you left off, or you can start a fresh new life in Christ right now.

God thinking requires you think about God’s design and determine if you are aligned with God's design in your life."

God Thinking XV - Train Your Mind to Think God Thoughts 8

"God designed you to listen to Him.
You were designed to receive new light - every time you open the Word of God, you should receive revelation.
  • You were designed to study the Word to show yourself “approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
  • You were designed to be called out from among the world, “...know ye not that friendship of the world is enmity with God?  Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God” James 4:4
  • You were designed to live a holy life, ”Having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”  2 Corinthians 7:1
  • You were designed to testify that Jesus is Lord.
  • You were designed to obey God.
  • You were designed to pray.
  • You were designed to intercede for others.
  • You were designed to worship.
  • You were designed to praise.
  • You were designed to supplicate.
  • You were designed to respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
  • You were designed to have faith.
  • You were designed to read the Word of God.
  • You were designed to hear the voice of God. “Behold, I stand at the door , and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20
And again Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:” John 10:27
  •  You were designed to do the will of God, “Not everyone that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.”  Matthew 7:21
  • You were designed to believe God.
  • You were designed to exercise our free will and to do with it what please the Lord.
  • You were designed to love one another.
  • You were designed to be prosperous and in good health, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 2.
  • You were designed to please God, not just yourself.
  • You were designed to do good to others.
  • You were designed to serve one another.
  • You were designed to serve God.
God thinking steers you to get a vision of God’s design for your life. You believe what God has said in His Word.  You don’t get off on your own private mission, redesigning God’s plan to suit yourself.  You learn to agree with God."

God Thinking XV - Train Your Mind to Think God Thoughts 7

"Remember how Paul was evangelized.  Paul was true to his religion.  He believed fervently that to destroy Christians was the honorable way to serve God.  Was he right? No.  He believed a lie.  He believed what religion was teaching at the time.  He forsook the Word in lieu of religious security, security of being with the most influential group at the time.  How did God get Paul’s attention?  He knocked him down and blinded him for a time.  Paul had no choice but to be led by others for a time.  Paul believed a lie.  He acted upon it.  His entire experience with God had been built on a lie.

Had he not had the Damascus road experience and heard the voice of Jesus, he would have continued on his path throughout his life.

Note: I can say for certainty that you have also at one time or another been knocked off your horse to get you attention. No one will be able to say in the end, 'God did not ever come to me.' Just because a person doesn't respond doesn't mean that God did not call them.

Another example is found in Jeremiah 28:15-17
“Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; the LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie. V16 Therefore thus saith the LORD; I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD. V17 So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.”

When you trust in a lie or an untruth, something not ordained by God, you run the risk of missing God’s intent for you.
You run the risk of:
  • Mapping out your own design.
  • Making a plan that God cannot sanctify.
  • Starting a business that God does not bless.
  • Marrying a man or woman without God’s approval.
  • Hanging with people that worship God in vain.
  • Making our own rules and regulations that take away from the freedom we have in Christ., burdening others with our own personal biases, bents and idiosyncrasies .
Do you really believe that is what God wants for you?"

God Thinking XV - Train Your Mind to Think God Thoughts 6

"2     The other reason why there is so much rebellion when we talk about doing those things that please God is because they believe a lie.

Just a couple of examples:
Remember when Peter was in the presence of Jesus and Peter was talking about what he would do for Jesus.
Let’s listen to the scripture.

Mark 14:26-31
“And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. V27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. V28 But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee. V29 But Peter said unto Him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I. V30 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. V31 But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise.  Likewise also said they all.”

Jesus just got finished telling them what scripture saith, “All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.”
And again Jesus said, “Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.”

Peter believed a lie instead of the Master’s voice.  He believed what he had told himself instead of what Jesus told him.  There’s a lot of that going on today.  People are making up their mind based on what’s in their mind instead of what God is saying in their mind.
