"For those who decide to live by faith - It all takes shape and it all has meaning - but for those who do not decide to live by faith - All that has been done - everywhere they have been - all of their experiences become their reward.

Is your faith dead faith or alive faith?

Is Jesus dead or alive?  (Think about this, because if you are  not fully convinced in your heart that Jesus is Alive, you are currently wandering aimlessly to an undefined target)

First let me expose what dead faith is.

Dead faith is when you say one thing and do another.  You say you are going to do this or that, but you don’t follow through.  You don’t really have faith to do it, you just say you do so you will fit in or so that others will think you did do what you did not do, because dead faith seeks recognition - not righteousness.

  

Dead faith is when you let those at Church think you are altogether the professional business man and Christian extraordinaire, while you are stilting people, trying to make a buck without regard for integrity or truth or full disclosure of your product or service.

Dead faith follows others with dead faith, each on their own self serving path of indiscretions.

Dead faith talks allot about what it is going to do in the name of good works, but follows through with little, because dead faith has no power and carries no reward, but it is easy - just say you are going to do it and in due time enough people will think you did do it, so you can take credit for the work of another.

Dead faith prays, wavering and changing with every wind, convinced that prayer is just a formality or doesn't pray at all.

Dead faith is the faith of the double-minded.  There is no efficacy with a double-minded man because there is no agreement between God and man.  There is only the theatrics of faith, but no connection between ourselves and the Spirit of God.

James says, in James 1:5-8

5.  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

 6.  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that

wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

 7.  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

 8.  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Dead faith doesn’t receive answers to prayer, because dead faith doesn’t trust in a living Savior."

"Even when you are outside of the will of God, God is working on your behalf, turning what you messed up into a testimony that will declare beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God was carrying you when you were out of His will and walking along beside you when you are in His will.

God has taken all of your talents and skills, your characteristics and personalities, your temperament, to season you for service to God and man.

Every job you have had, every place you’ve been, every experience, every battle (won or lost), even when your back was turned, God was there, not condemning you or laughing at you, but there to take what was meant for your loss and turning it into your gain - All so that once you decide to live by faith your past will become your testimony of how God...........

All the while, when your back was turned on God, He was carrying you through.  When you were disobedient and foolish, God did not turn His back on you - no, instead of passing sentence on you and giving up on you - God showered you with His love - His patience and His mercy.

All to the glory of God.

All that God has done for you was to bring you to a place of submission to Him - a place where you would learn to trust God by faith.  The kind of faith that, even without a drop of proof - you believe as if it were already done. 

There are two kinds of faith that the scriptures talk about.  One is dead faith and the other is alive faith.  By learning about dead faith and alive faith, you will have a better knowledge of God, and a better understanding of what God has prepared you for - prepared for you.

"If you were willing, you could receive enough faith to believe for ???

What are you believing for?

Whatever you have been believing for, you need a booster shot of living faith.  You need to bring it to the forefront, so that you can see clearly what God has been preparing for you - He is preparing you for. 

We celebrate the truth that God is preparing for each of us - some great thing, or some wonderful person to come into our life, or a huge raise, more money or answered prayer.

 

But, we shy away from the truth that God prepares us for - what He has prepared for us.

Do you know what most of us want of God today?

We want God to accept us - our sacrifice! - the one we decide to give - just like Cain - whether it is what God asked for or not.

Whether you are living in God’s will or living out of God’s will, God is preparing you to live in God’s will. When you decide to be in the will of God, you have already been prepared, because God has been preparing you all along. 

It’s true, God used every experience that you have been through (good and bad) (happy and sad) to hone you and sharpen you and create in you a desire to know Him and live in God's Will."

God Thinking LXV - Alive Faith

You can’t go on Wading through life as if it were a quagmire.

You are to soar like an eagle and run like the hart/deer.

Even though each of us may have a different occupation, a different set of goals, plans and tasks at hand -

all of us have needs

all of us have dreams

and all of us have desires

• Does God really care at all about your little situations here?
• Does God really intervene into the lives of men and women, teens and children?
• Does it matter to God what you are doing with your time - your money - your talent - your skills?
• Does God really care whether you have faith or not?

I am going to answer these questions and more.  I am going to unravel some mysteries and lay out a smorgasbord of truths that will take you closer to a pure vision of God.

God thinking must find at the end of each exploration into the heart of God, satisfying answers - answers that cannot be contrived or created, only received. 

That’s where I want to take you today - a place where you can receive. 

You can receive, by faith, any and all of God’s truths/revelations/visions.

And each truth received by faith puts you in a position to receive another - and thus it is by faith that you receive anything and everything from God.

Faith is the answer to every question."

God Thinking LXXIII - The Construction Connection 8

"I’ll tell you what true peace and joy is.

It’s knowing that what you are involved in is blessed by God.

It’s knowing, not guessing, that you are making godly choices about what you will do and what you won’t do, not at the crucial moment of decision, but prior to being put under pressure or caught in an awkward position. 

You’ve got to know what you will do and what you won’t do before it comes up.  In other words plan what kind of building materials you are going to use to build your building before you build it. And you can if you’ve already laid it before the Lord - and it’s already been through the fire - and it’s already been revealed as to what manner or what sort of product it will produce.

If your work is going to be tried in the fire and exposed under the light and revealed - then it makes sense to do work that reveals your cooperation with God as a labourer together with God.

What’s wrong with using the insight of the One inside?"

"If you know that your work is going to be made known, why not take the time to make wise decisions?

When times get tough and you are backed against the wall. it is not a good time to be looking for answers.

God wants you prepared.

I’ll tell you what true peace and joy is.

• It’s when you labor together with God and produce a product that survives the test of time.
• It’s when you calmly and sensibly take the time to seek God’s blessing before you get started.
• It’s when what you do - you don’t have to make excuses for, because you have an unction from the Holy Spirit.
• It’s when you say no to something and you don’t even have all the answers why, but you’ve decided it’s better to wait on the Lord than to jump ahead of His timing.
• It’s when you sacrifice something that you thought you had to have, only to find out that it wasn’t what you thought it was anyway."

Prior to starting a relationship or after you commit to a relationship you can start asking important questions that can help you decide if you and your new found friend are headed in the same direction. - Some things are better found out before you commit yourself.

You either lay it before the Lord, try it in the fire, and get His blessings:

Prior to calling a lawyer or - you can get a lawyer quickly, even though the Bible warns you that lawyers benefit greatly from long and arduous settlements, where neither party is likely to get satisfaction.

You either lay it before the Lord, try it in the fire, and get His blessings:

Prior to responding to your boss or - you can speak your mind and tell your boss off and get fired. While he forgot about it and moved on, you’re home without income.

You either lay it before the Lord, try it in the fire, and get His blessings:

Prior to taking that job or - you can take the new job without consulting with other professions in the field, without seeking a second offer or a third.  You all know that first offers are always the best??? Right.

You either lay it before the Lord, try it in the fire, and get His blessings:

Prior to going to that place or - you could just go wherever.  After all, it doesn’t make much difference where you go.  Nobody will see you there anyway.  

You either lay it before the Lord, try it in the fire, and get His blessings:

Prior to saying yes to something you really aren’t sure about or - you could say yes, without taking time to consider the consequences.  A swift Yes answer given under duress never ends well.

The reason you don’t take it to the Lord is because you already know the answer and you really want to do things your way and not God’s way.  But. either way,  “Every man's work shall be made manifest.”
