Getting To Know God Better 49
We have seen too much violence lately. Even though the Bible clearly tells us that it will be this way, it is hard to grapple with the level of intensity and the uncommon activities of those perpetuating violent crimes.
I think we have all come to understand that God does allow bad things to happen to good people. That's right, despite our prayers and supplications, our interventions and participation in God's plan, God allows bad things to happen to good people.
Since this is true, rather than questioning the wisdom of God, which is unsearchable, I have found the answer lies in this question: What are you going to do with what God allowed to happen?
Trying to figure out God beyond the self-disclosure that God gave us through Christ, the writings of the Bible and the indwelling Holy Spirit is futile. God already revealed Himself through Christ and the ongoing indwelling of the Holy Spirit inside our heart/mind/spirit/soul. We do not need more disclosure to have full assurance and understanding of God's Sovereignty, Omnipotence and Holiness. God gave us, without solicitation, the innate ability to access activate and operate in cooperation and coordination with His perfect will. He then empowered us through faith in Christ to enable direct contact with God, through Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.
What are you going to do with what God allowed to happen? Answering the many questions about life, and the ongoing struggle of finding our way in a world filled with ungodly activities, can only be found in participating in the plan of God with the understanding we currently have, in the place we currently are, under the conditions we are currently in. Seeking out unanswerable answers from God has no efficacy. Learn to respond to events, all events, even tragic events, by projecting what your next action will be, based on what you already know.
God has not hidden something from you, that if you ask ten thousand times, God will finally reveal to you because of your importunity. You have your answer, What are you going to do with what God allowed to happen?
