God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 11

"I am going to read a familiar text, but from an unfamiliar context.  I want you to get the truth behind how important it is to sense in the spirit and them move on it.

Romans 8:1
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

2 Corinthians 5:7
“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”

Acts 17:16
“Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.”

Galatians 5:25
“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Ephesians 3:16
“That He (God) would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;”

Ephesians 4:22-24
“That you put off concerning the former conversation (manner of life) the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
V23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
V24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”

The new man, the one that senses God’s will and moves forward, just as if they had seen it or touched it is the same one that fights their flesh to be conformed to the image of God.

Had enough or do you want more?

Ephesians 5:18
“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Be filled with the things of God, His messages, His ways, His freedom, His power, His healing, His words, His love, His direction.

Revelation 1:10
“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,”

2 Timothy 4:22
“The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit.  Grace be with you. Amen.
  • It’s time to let your spirit do the walking.
  • It’s time to become spiritual and let God have His way with you.
  • It’s time to start following your spirit as often as you follow your flesh.
  • It’s time to experience the flow of God in your spiritual veins.
  • It’s time to let go and let God - to believe His promises and start stepping out in faith.
  • Can you sense the Spirit of God speaking to you.  God wants in.
  • It’s time to let Him in.
  • It’s time to turn some things off and to turn on the Word and let it sink to the root of your being and transform you.
What are you sensing that God is telling you right now?  Do it.

God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 10

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him.
V24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth.”

See the word, must.

This is revelation, not pressure.

This is freedom, not imposing rule and regulation.

This word must was placed here to give you insight into who you are.

When you begin to sense, in the spirit:

What to do next - Where to go next

Who to help next - when to go next
When you begin to operate and make decisions based on your, sensing in the spirit.  My God, can you see this?

You ought to be jumping up and down.

God has provided light in a dark place.  I am confirming by the Word of God that it is OK to use your spirit to make decisions.  Not just OK, but required.

The people of God move by the spirit of God - those who utilize their spirit to receive God, to receive from God the things of God."

Note: Don't bother trying to make provisions for those who deny Christ but profess some other philosophy or religion or god.  Jesus made no provisions for some other way, neither should you.  And if you do, by what authority do you make such a provision?

God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 9

"The days of thinking that God allows anything, anywhere, for any reason and it will be OK because you are a Christian, has got to stop.  God is not the author of this kind of thinking.

God wants His children to be at peace with Him experientially, not just intellectually or positionally.

Experientially, righteousness in Christ is a daily activity.

Experientially, peace with God is achieved through being in God’s plan.

God has prepared a plan for you, so that you can be at perfect peace with Him, while in the world (in direct contact with the ungodly, in direct contact with the consequences of wickedness and sin, failure,  deceit , sickness, hatred, prejudice, unfaithfulness, ungodliness) but not of the world.

Hear the Word of the LORD.

John 17:13-20, “And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

V14 I have given them thy Word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

V15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from evil.

V16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
V17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy Word is truth.
V18 As thou hast sent Me into the world, even so have I sent them into the world.
V19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
V20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them which shall believe on Me through their word;”

The world that you are in, but not of is: (any and all belief systems, philosophies, religious systems, political systems, world powers, jurisdictions, corporate powers, businesses, partnerships, individuals, anything, any place or anyone that does not allow the integration and recognition of Christ in them.)"

God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 8

"When something is of God - or - when you are in God’s plan
  • Your spirit comes alive and is made full.
  • You can sense the connection.
  • There is peace that passes understanding.
  • There is freedom.
  • There is no pressure.
  • Faith is released - like water coming from a fountain
  • Belief is engaged
Again, you can sense it.

If God draws you into a place He has prepared for you, your spirit feels perfectly at home.  Your body and your mind may pitch a fit or rebel or throw a temper tantrum, but your spirit will be at perfect peace.

Just the same, if you are involved in or seeking that which has not been prepared for you by God, your body and mind may want it or seek it, but your spirit will stand against it and you will not have peace.  The Spirit of God will not compromise and give you comfort in anything that has not first been purified and prepared for you by God.

Think about it.
  • Would you bring your kids into a situation that you knew would bring them harm?
  • Would you take them to a place that you knew would take away their innocence?
  • Would you send them somewhere you knew would separate them from God?
God will not with His children either.
Do you sense that this is true?

God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 7

"Every day, you are confronted with options that demand your attention.  Even though your spirit senses and determines what is right and should be pursued, and senses what is wrong and should be avoided - your mind rationalizes to get what it wants and your body craves to get what it wants.

The spirit calls the inner man to high and holy ground.  The spirit is pure and holy and healthy.  The spirit reveals, unveils, unlocks, enlightens, lifts, frees, empowers, and encourages us to be like Christ.

The flesh often:
  • succumbs
  • is easily tricked
  • is stubborn
  • refuses instruction
  • hides things
  • is selfish
  • is not concerned about our quality of life
  • chooses pleasure over discipline
And the mind often:
  • is easily deceived
  • is quite often chooses the lesser road
  • is sometimes irrational
  • rationalizes what it wants
  • is easily provoked
  • chooses escape above commitment
But the spirit:
  • is not easily deceived
  • and is not easily influenced unless it is God, because your spirit is the closest part of yourself to God.

God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 6

"Pause.  Think on this for a moment.

Unless you allow God to have freedom to operate in you and through you, your mind and your body cannot be trusted.

Your mind and your flesh can be at war with your spirit.

When they are at war, when the mind and the body want something bad enough, that is not of God, or not part of His plan for your life, the body and the mind will war against your spirit to the death.

Only by the grace of God, given to those who love God, can you overcome and win that inner war.

This kind of war is not won in a one time experience, like getting saved or being baptized in the Holy spirit or being sanctified - If you are going to overcome, if you are going to have victory, every day, every war requires God’s supernatural intervention.

It takes daily commitment to the things of God to get into God’s plan for your life and to live in God’s plan for your life.  God made it this way.  God thinking is about God’s plan.

God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 5

"I hope you have established that God has a plan and prepares the way for those who love Him.  God draws you into what He has prepared for you.

Let’s look at one facet of the spiritual life that is activated in your life if you are in God’s plan.

1     You sense it.
Read this slowly and let each word sink deep into your inner man.
  • Your spirit, not your mind or body is always first to know everything.
  • You sense in your spirit what is right.
  • You sense in your spirit what is wrong.  When something is of God, your spirit agrees with the Spirit of God, that it is God.
Your spirit is the one true indicator.

Let me ask you, “do you really trust your body to always tell you the truth or to do what is right?

“Do you really trust your mind to always think the right thoughts or to make the right decision?

No way.  If you do, (hear me carefully, because this is going to hurt a little).
If we do let your body and your mind make all of your decisions, you are a carnal Christian.  Ouch.

Your mind and your flesh can easily be influenced to compromise what is best for you and keep you from entering in or remaining in God’s plan for your life.

God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 4

"I want you to see this clearly.  When you establish a plan, you are on the beginning side of that plan.

You operate with available knowledge and resources.

You start, not knowing what’s ahead in five years, two years, next month, next week, even next hour.

You accumulate what you think we need, based on what others accumulated that they thought they needed.
You operate in the dark so to speak.

Watch this: When God establishes a plan - He sees the end from the beginning.

God establishes each plan with full knowledge and unlimited resources

God starts knowing the end from the beginning, God knows the five years from now, the two years, the next month, the next week, the next hour.

God doesn’t need to accumulate anything to bring His plan to pass, He starts with everything.

God operates in the light.

What God has prepared for you, He has done with full understanding of every facet, every moment, every obstacle, every burden, every complication, every cost, every enemy, everything - And with this God provides every need, every component, every tool, every way of escape, every open door, every opportunity, every asset, every friend, every everything.

What God has prepared for you, is what you really, really, really want.

If you are in what God has prepared for you, there is:

No more guessing - No more confusion

No more wandering - No more uncertainty

You become sure of our self.

You believe God. - You trust God.

You commune with God. - You adore God.

You worship God.

I am telling you about something that I know about.

If ever there was a reason to receive the Word of the Lord in your life - it is now."

God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 3

"There is a difference in those in whom God loves and those in whom love God.  Are you with me?  Many people who love God are living with someone who God loves.

The one who loves God - is trying to figure out ways to bless you and me right now.
The one who God loves might still be home in bed.
The one who loves God - thinks about God every day.
The one who God loves - thinks about a great many things.
The one who loves God - prays for themselves and others as led by the Spirit of God.
The one who God loves - prays when it is convenient.
The one who loves God - seeks the scriptures to make them pure.

The one who God loves - Seeks for loopholes so they can be in the world and of the world with God’s approval.

There is a difference in those who love God and those whom God loves.

“the things which God hath for them that love Him” (1st Co. 12:9) - are prepared for them.”

God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 2

"I said, “I am going to teach you something today that is going to advance your spirit to the next place that God has prepared for you, if you receive it.”  I say, if you receive it, because when God sheds His light among men/women, it does not have to be received.  You can receive it - You can reject it.
If you receive new light - unveiled truth - in the spirit, you rejoice.  You are elated - you are built up - you are empowered - because God only takes His people where He has already prepared a place for them.
God has prepared a plan for your life.
1 Corinthians 12:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”

Notice that God did not say what he has prepared for them that He loves, (everyone throughout the whole world), but for those that love Him, that is a remnant, (a small group of people who have found that what God does for them, even in their sleep, is better than all else that is done or can be accumulated or accomplished apart from Him)."

God Thinking XXVI - Sensing God 1

"God Thinking teaches you to put the things of God “on top” in the mind, and to take all else and push it down and out.  You do this so that you can be like Christ, relationally. This is the goal of God Thinking, because this is the will of God.

Hear the Word of the Lord.
Romans 12:1-2, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
V2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

I am going to teach you something today that is going to advance your spirit to the next place that God has prepared for you, if you receive it.  I say place instead of level or rung on the spiritual ladder, we, (the body of Christ) receive the same truths of God at different times.

Maturing spiritually in Christ isn’t determined by learning or knowing something that noone else knows, somehow separating you or me from others by advanced understanding.  Maturing spiritually in Christ is practicing what you know and sharing it with someone else so they too can receive the supernatural blessings from God that you have received from God.

I say practicing, because knowing a truth does not advance your spirit.  You must practice truth before it takes root in you and makes fruit.

Truth revealed that stays concealed is religion.
Truth revealed that moves a man or woman and spurs them to action that glorifies God is Christianity.

God Thinking XXV - The Beggining Of Revelation 8

"In verse 8' V8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Christ reveals Himself as the Almighty, not that there was ever any question that Jesus is God, but to affirm John’s revelation, God chose to reveal, rather than hide who He is.

V9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the Word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
V10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet.

When John said, “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day”, the word Spirit is the same word spirit as used above.  It could have been translated like this, “I was in or among the seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, the seven hard breathes of fire, the Holy Spirit.”

V11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

The messages to the seven Churches has a fourfold application.

1     The local Churches of the time

2     Admonition to all churches in all times to use as a sounding block to examine their faithfulness.

3     Personal, in the exhortations like “to him that hath an ear” and “to him that overcometh”.

4     Prophetic, in that each Church reflects one of seven phases that the church has gone through in history.

V12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me.  And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

V13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

V14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire;

V15 And His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and His voice as the sound of many waters.

V16 And He had in His right hand seven stars: and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and His countenance was as the sun shineth in His strength.
V17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead.  And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

V18 I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

V19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

V20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks.  The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

The seven stars are the seven angels (messengers)

The seven candlesticks are the seven churches

Everything to do with any heavenly vision is about light.

The seven Spirits - lamps of fire burning before the throne representing the Holy Spirit’s ministries.

The seven stars - Personages so bright that they look like stars.

Seven candlesticks - The Churches as a light in the darkness.

When John says, “And His countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength”...

Did you know that our sun is the smallest star in the known universe?

Did you know that our sun is one million times larger than our earth?  At ninety three million miles away we cannot even look at the sun.  “His countenance was as the sun”...

And when John said, “And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead” - In the presence of the sun/Son, dead was the best John could do.  There were no words that could better describe his experience, than “he fell at His feet as dead.”

Chapter One sets the stage for what is about to be revealed.  So far we see that Jesus Christ reveals Himself.  John describes what God tells Him to.  Nothing left out and nothing added.  Jesus gets John ready to write the Word of God for the Church of God.

And that’s where we are going to leave off.  Now go and read the Book of Revelation at your own pace and draw from it the rich and rewarding truths that have been too long ignored by clergy and writers for profit. You will be blessed."

God Thinking XXV - The Beginning of Revelation 7

Refer back to Revelation 1:7,
V7 Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him.  Even so, Amen.

As of A.D. 96 Jesus had not come in the clouds and every eye had not seen Him.  It has not happened yet, but it is about to happen.  Remember what happened after the first  2,000 years - the salvation of eight and the destruction of all mankind - after the second 2,000 years - the veil of the temple was rent and all religious systems and sacrifices for sins were abolished.

God came to man as the man Jesus Christ and saved a remnant.  But all those who climb up some other ladder will be lost.

And here we are at the end of another 2,000 years and God is about to do a mighty work.  God is going to separate the wheat from the chaff.  He is not going to do this outside the church, He is going to do this inside the Church.  Those outside the Church are already separated from God.

The world is fast becoming intolerant of Jesus Christ and His followers.  The lives of demarcation are being clearly defined.  As the Church grows ever closer to the image and likeness of Christ - the world grows worse and worse.

God calls His people to separate while the world suggest unity, but not unity in Christ, unity apart from Christ.

The world says, “All paths lead to God”, but Jesus says, “No man cometh unto the Father but by Me”.  The world has made its choice, and that is to deny the Son of God.  And we too have a choice, and that must be to receive the Son of God.
