To God Be The Glory 2

"God will call you to anything that you already know you can do and sometimes God will call you to what you think you cannot do.  Just like the disciples couldn’t see how they would feed the multitudes, sometimes you cannot see how you can accomplish whatever you have been called to.

When God says “give ye them to eat”, you must believe it is possible.

When I say that you can do something, I simply mean that you do your part of fulfilling God’s call, but never without God or on your own.

Jesus said to the disciples “give ye them to eat”.  You will see from the rest of the story that you have a distinct role in fulfilling God’s will.
One of the biggest hurdles for all of us is this area of faith; To just take God at His Word and do what He says.

You must believe that what God calls you to do, God makes possible, to accomplish.

To God Be The Glory 1

"I want to talk about what happens when Jesus gives you a command or an invitation or simply calls you to do something or go somewhere.

When Jesus calls you from where you are, physically, emotionally, spiritually or mentally, He gives you all the components you need to fulfill the task.
He gives you the possibility - in that with God all things are possible.
He gives you the provision – God will supply the resources.
He gives you the protection - God protects you as He goes through it with you
He gives you power – God provides supernatural intervention

Go with me if you would to Matthew Chapter 14.  We will start reading at verse 13.  John had just been beheaded.  The disciples had buried John.  Starting at verse 13.
John14:13
“When Jesus heard of it, He departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed Him on foot out of the cities.
V14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
V15 And when it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
V16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart: give ye them to eat.”

“Give them to eat”.  Before we go any further, I want you to see how this principle works.  Because if your faith doesn’t kick in and circumvent your natural mind, you will not believe this story – And if you cannot believe this story, you won’t believe God will intervene in your story and do the impossible. God gives you the possibility

Note: Is that who you are, someone who doesn't buy into the God thing. You believe parts of the Bible because it makes sense, but you also believe that it is primarily an allegory, at best. You are not sure about any of it, but so many people around you have succumbed to its nectar. If the stories in the Bible are just nice stories to you, don't waste you time reading my blog. There is nothing here for you.

True Perspective 9

"True perspective: There’s something on your heart right now and you need to do something about it.

Some of you have a dream and you need to see God’s hand in it – trust Him to do it with you.

Some of you need to seek God in a way that allows God control in your life for the first time – trust Him.  God has only blessings for you and not condemnation.

Some of you need to straighten up your relationship with God – God is waiting for your submission.

Whatever brings your reality into the presence of God – that’s what you need to be doing.

Join hands with God – give whatever it is to Him and let Him breathe His supernatural essence into it.  “Only believe.”

God is in control.
The things of God are good, very, very good.
To be a child of God is good, very, very good.
To be alive is good, very, very good.
Today is a good day.
Tomorrow is full of God and to be enjoyed to it’s fullest.
And that is good news.

John 14:27“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Can you thank God for setting you free?

True Perspective 8

"If you are worried about your children, quit worrying and take control – believe God.

Put your tomorrows in God’s care.  He will not disappoint you.  Seek God with all your heart, mind, body and soul – God will tend to the rest.

Seek God’s face and satan will dim into obscurity.
Seek God’s will for your life and follow your calling and satan’s part in your life will take it’s rightful place – minuscule – insignificant – all together nothing of consequence.

True perspective: God is urging you to stand with Him in all things and put satan in his proper place – under your feet – trampled on – reduced to a gnat – void of power – totally ineffective and powerless.

It is time to take control of your life and give God His rightful place in your life.

It is time to operate in power.
It is time to trust God like never before, the kind of trust that seeks God’s will in our job, home, finances, hobbies, goals, skills and talents.
It is time to give God quantity time.

God wants to be a part of everything you do and He will, if you allow it.

True Perspective 7

"Please paint the true picture of tomorrow.  A picture where – “With God all things are possible”.

Tell yourself and your children the whole truth.

Son – Daughter – “thy faith has made thee whole.”
You are to “have life and have it abundantly.”

“All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose”  Romans 8:28

You can’t afford to believe the lies of satan any longer.  They keep you from seeing the plan of God for your life.
If it is a lie, it is from satan.
If it is oppressing, it is of satan.
If it is tearing down, it is of satan.
If it is causing satan, it is of satan.
If it is causing doubt, it is of satan.
If it is causing confusion, it is of satan.
If your tomorrow doesn’t look good, it is of satan.

If you cannot see the hand of God in your life, you have been tricked to believe that your current circumstances are out of God’s control."

True Perspective 4

"God wants His people to lean on Jesus Christ and in all things to give God the glory.  In life and in death – in winning and in losing – in sickness and in health – you are God’s childr - in whom God’s takes great pleasure in protecting and training and teaching and in receiving unto Himself into heaven.

You need to take a hold of this truth.  Your focus must be on the peace that passes all understanding – not the fear that seems to be dominating the day.

satan is not dominating anything – he is losing, more and more everyday that passes.
The world is not an awful place to raise your children as satan would like you to believe – but it is beautiful place where God is in control and God is in your children creating a path for them to follow where they will do great things.

Today is not a day to wallow in satan’s false victory.  It is a day to stand against his teachings and listen to God.

Tomorrow is not gloomy.  It is Sunny and full of light.
Tomorrow doesn’t usher in an era of uncertainty.
Tomorrow ushers in an era of surety.
Tomorrow is not another day where satan cannot be found.
he was exposed 6,000 years ago and leaves a trail of his botched jobs like a child with fluorescent paint.
satan cannot hide from God.  satan and all his own are easily recognized by the darkness that surrounds them.

God says there is hope for the future.  God created the future for you and you should believe you are going to enjoy it.  There are blessings of plenty at your door and just around the corner.  Your children are in the hands of Almighty God.  They are protected by the creator Himself.  There was never a better time to be alive than now.

Satan cannot have you, your children or anything else, because today you are going to stake a claim on your life, your children and your country.  You are going to start believing God and stand on His promises.  You are going to stop telling yourself and your children how bad things are and you are going to tell them the truth.

There is no better time – nor greater time in all history to serve God, than now."

Friday, April 22, 2016

True Perspective 3

"You have already won the victory.  You have already overcome any outcome that satan could bring – by trusting God and placing your faith in Jesus Christ.  Don’t think for one minute that satan has won anything because someone is sick or someone has died or you are out of money, so satan wins.  It is not true.  satan doesn’t win against believers in Christ.  he hasn’t taken away anything that is rightfully yours.  he is a liar and wants you to believe he has.

Note: "he hasn’t taken away anything that is rightfully yours." It is easy to forget that the real battle is a spiritual battle and that we are stewards and not owners of things on this side of heaven. Remember this and you will increase in wisdom. Many things that once were troubling will take on a whole new perspective.

Your faith has sealed you.  Your children are safe in the hands of God.

Ephesians 1:13-14 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the Word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.V14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.”

Let’s get it right.  God says that He is to be feared.
satan is to be refused.
God says He is to be praised and worshipped for He is High and Holy.
Satan is to be resisted.

True perspective:
God is in control.
Satan is out of control."

True Perspective 2

"Matthew 10:28
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

The right perspective is what God says.  God speaks what is really true.

satan is a liar.  satan says, “fear me.  I am all powerful.  I have control.  Be afraid every moment.  Watch your back.  See what I did.  Are you scared now?  See why there needs to be unity among religions.  If you want peace, join together and have peace.  See what I can do.  I can hurt you and tear you down.  I can break you.  I am to be feared.

Satan has always mimicked God, but it’s time you recognize him for what he really is.
satan is a loser.
he lost the battle from the beginning.
his time is set.
his destiny determined.
his end unchangeable.
his words, all lies.
his rhetoric, pitifully base and easily exposed.
he is not all powerful or all knowing.
he is not all anything except - all defeated.

satan wants you to focus on the horrors of life, terrorism, and unpredictable men and women of dishonor. .
he wants you to fear him.
he wants you to fear the enemy.
he wants you to make new enemies.
he wants you to fear tomorrow.
he wants you to fear the future.
he wants you to fear living and to think there is no future for your children.
he wants you to condescend and give him recognition.
satan wants your yesterday, today and tomorrow to be gloomy and filled with confusion and terror and tragedy and hate and loneliness.

But if you fall prey to this kind of thinking – you are not listening to God. And even worse if you do not believe that satan has influence, you have been duped already."

True Perspective 1

"You need the right perspective at times like these.  A right perspective will keep you from losing your footing when things go awry.

A false perspective or a warped perspective will alter the truth and the realty you live in.  God wants you to believe that things are the way He say’s they are, not the way a media personality say’s they are.

A pro-active perspective will help you see more clearly when troubles come, and they will come.

I want to lay out what I believe is our present day reality according to God, but along with that I am also going to lay out what the adversary is trying to make you think.

Let’s see what God says first.  Turn with me to Jeremiah 5:22-24.  The book of Jeremiah was written 600 years before the birth of Christ, but the message is just as pertinent as the day it was written.  The Word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah, not some new message, but the same message that was spoken from the beginning, just as the message today is not some new message, but the same message as from the beginning.

Jer 5:22  Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
Jer 5:23  But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.
Jer 5:24  Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

This is the proper perspective.  God wants you to recognize Him.  “Fear ye not me? Saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence…?”
God is an all consuming fire – Hebrews 12:29
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge…” Proverbs 1:7

God is Holy and just – Righteous – Sovereign – Perfect – Omnipresent – Omnipotent – Immutable, unchangeable – all Powerful and in total and unquestionable control. What is it about that that you don't like?"

Tools OF The Enemy 14 - Worry

"" Of the five major tools of the enemy:
Oppression
Discouragement
Doubt
Lost Territory
Worry
Let's look at worry.

Worry - Everybody worries.  Your right.  But it is not of God.  Worry blocks God’s blessings from coming to you.
Worry shuts the door to opportunity, answered prayer, and sometimes the very voice of God.
God has promises to keep and gifts to give, healing to perform, answers to your questions and blessings to pour out - and worry blocks the receipt of these precious gifts from God.

Wisdom
Take an offensive stand against the enemy.  When worry shows its ugly face, quickly and without a moments thought - trust God. God knows your every frustration.  Don’t let a simple thing, that is in God’s control - get out of control in your life.

If you want to take a pro-active stand against the enemy this year - would you say this prayer with me.

Forgive me Lord for anything that stands between me and you.

I will not be trapped by satan’s lies.
I will not allow satan to discourage me.
I will not doubt you, Father God.
I will not give any more territory over to the enemy.
I will not worry, but I will learn to trust You.

Thank you Father for being a merciful God.
Thank you Jesus for showing us the way.
Thank You Holy Spirit for guiding me.

Amen.

Tools Of The Enemy 13 - Lost Territory

"" Of the five major tools of the enemy:
Oppression
Discouragement
Doubt
Lost Territory
Worry
Let's look at lost territory

Lost territory - I’ll bet some of you have been wondering about this lost territory tool of the devil.  Anything you allow in your life that can be controlled by satan.  Pornography, x-rated TV, garbage talk radio, ultra violent video games, sexually explicit magazines and/or anything that is against Christ.  Anything you own, that you don’t monitor for content could be an open door for satan’s entrance.  Once you recognize the tools of the enemy, it’s time to clean house.

I would say that it is a good time to clean house.  You need to make up your mind that you aren’t going to give satan any territory to work with.

Wisdom
Take an offensive stand against the enemy and take note of what you have, what you have saved from your past that is of the world and let it go.

Tools Of The Enemy 12 - Doubt

" Of the five major tools of the enemy:
Oppression
Discouragement
Doubt
Lost Territory
Worry
Let's look at doubt.

Doubt - You allow satan to produce doubt in your mind When you forget the greatness of God.
When you forget what God has done for you.
When you start to take the things of God for granted.
When you have your eyes on anything but Jesus, things will happen that will let you down and cause doubt.

More people have lost their faith or stepped back twenty paces when a man or woman of God does something wrong or lets them down.

Wisdom
Take an offensive stand against the enemy and keep your eyes on Jesus.  Doubt fades into obscurity every time you look at Jesus."

Tools Of The Enemy 11

" Of the five major tools of the enemy:
Oppression
Discouragement
Doubt
Lost Territory
Worry
Let's look at discouragement.

Discouragement - You allow satan to discourage you when you let things go too far, or let them get out of your control.
In your marriage, raising your children, with your finances, your job/s - when these things start to unravel, you get discouraged.
The enemy can use this as an open door.
At times everything will go wrong at one time, the enemy hammering you to give up.

You need to be careful not to allow your behavior to irk your spouses and to be careful in the way you handle your children’s mistakes.

You need to be more careful with your finances and not run overspend or run out and not to be stingy or miserly either, but wise and prudent .

Wisdom
Take an offensive stand against the enemy and not let them get out of control.  That’s why God put man and woman together, to make the perfect balance, learn to listen to your spouse.

Tools Of The Enemy 10 - Oppression

" Of the five major tools of the enemy:
Oppression
discouragement
Doubt
Lost Territory
Worry
Let's look at oppression. These snippets of truth are very powerful. Please take them seriously

Oppression - You allow satan to oppress when you are disobedient or out of God’s will.  When you want something that is not good for you, and you know it to be against God, you allow your enemy to use the pressure of a guilty conscience to oppress you.  The best way to be prepared is not to allow ourselves to desire what is not good for you.  This is not meant to be an all-inclusive list. It’s different for each of you.
Wisdom
Take an offensive stand against the enemy, you need to make
your mind up about some things before you get trapped.

Tools Of The Enemy 9

" Being a Christian makes you part of the church, a living organism that requires active participation - relationships - work - effort and maintenance.

What matters is what you do when the wicked one comes to sift you like wheat.
There is no question of his existence.
There is no question that he comes to:
oppress you
discourage you
cause doubt
take back territory
cause worry

To be at peace with God is a wonderful thing.  And hopefully you have been there at times.  But to know the enemy and learn how to keep him away or to send him away is important too.

So what do you do when satan does come back?
James 4:7
James tells us.  This verse has won many a battle for me.  It is my experience that satan comes back over and over again and sometimes, just for the fun of it.
James 4:7
“Submit yourselves therefore to God, Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Resist the devil.  This might sound like you just recognize his presence and simply yell at him or tell him to get away and he just runs with his tale between his legs.  Not really.

This word resist comes from two Greek words - anti (an-tee) which means oppose or against and histemi (his-tay-mee) which means continue to stand as in a covenant.
Together they mean :
continue to oppose, or
covenant against, or
to continue to oppose by covenant
This type of resistance isn’t reactionary.  satan comes, you recognize him and send him away with your authority.  That’s OK if he gets that far and you are savvy enough to recognize the master of disguise.  To resist in the truest sense is to continue to oppose or to continue to be in an offensive position, not defensive.

That is why God wants you to put on the whole armor of God.
So that when the enemy attacks, he gains no ground.  You are ready.

How can you be ready?  Well, to keep true to the message, let’s just look at the five ways that satan comes to destroy.
Oppression
Discouragement
Doubt
Lost Territory
Worry

Tools Of The Enemy 8

"Luke 22:31-34
“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
V32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
V33 And he said unto Him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
V34 And He said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.”

At the end of three years of Peter following Jesus, this is what Jesus has to say to Peter.  They were close.  Peter had followed Jesus everywhere and Jesus speaks to like one who is getting close, “I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not”.

But what about the part where Jesus says, “And when thou art converted, strengthen thy brother.”?

The word used here converted has a compound meaning.  It is not really converted like from lost to saved: The word converted as used here implies:
when you really recognize who I am
when you finally get the whole picture
when you quit acting religious and become a real man in Christ
when the light goes on and you finally see the seriousness of your place in my life.

Simon, when it finally clicks in your heart and mind what is going on, expose it to your brethren so that they too can be strengthened by it.

Pray for them as I have prayed for you, and warn them like I am warning you.  Don’t take for granted that they understand.  Tell them from your experience.

Even when you know Jesus, and you love Him, you must come to know that being a Christian is not something that happens to you and then everything is taken care of for you.

A relationship with God is not a static relationship, but an active one."

Tools Of The Enemy 7

"Even after you have a great victory, satan will be looking for a way back in, an entrance of sorts to come and:
opress you
discourage you
cause doubt
take back some territory
cause you to worry

Go with me to 1 Peter 5:1-7
Peter is giving the church instruction.  He knows what he is talking about.  He has been there done that.  He discusses the things of great importance, things we need to know.

“The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
V2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
V3Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
V4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
V5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder.  Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for god resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
V6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
V7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Do you think Peter is talking to Christians?  Of course he is.  He is talking to those who are saved and to those who are filled with the Holy Spirit,

Let’s read on starting at verse 8
1 Peter 5:8-11
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
V9 Who resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
V10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
V11 To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.  Amen.

Your true adversary - Your true enemy is satan.  Sometimes you think your enemy is a person, your husband, your friends, your boss - but the root of what makes them seem like the enemy is satan himself - using every open door or devise that you give him.

Why this talk about satan?

See, when you get close to Jesus you become satans worst enemy, and he yours.  He is out to sift you like wheat through a sieve."

Tools Of The Enemy 6

"Go with me to Luke 4:1-13
“And Jesus being full of the Holy ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
V2 Being forty days tempted of the devil.  And in those days He did eat nothing: and when they were ended, He afterward hungered.
V3 And the devil said unto Him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
V4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.
V5 And the devil said unto Him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto Me; and to whomsoever I will give it.
V7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
V8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind Me, satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.
V9 And he brought Him to Jerusalem, and set Him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
V11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
V12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
V13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from Him for a season.”

Can we agree that satan is real.  It’s hard to fight a battle against an enemy that you don’t believe exist.  satan is real.  he comes to the Son of God who was filled with the Holy Spirit and he comes to you also.

In this battle, Jesus fights His enemy with authority.  Jesus uses the word, “Get thee behind me, satan”.
This is a lesson for you.  When you get into battle and satan speaks his garbage to you, you must take authority and send
him away.

Jesus could do this because He met all the conditions of God required to have authority over satan.

You can do this because Christ has met all the conditions of God required to have authority over satan.  Christ in you has
empowered every believer, by faith, by the indwelling Holy Spirit of God to wield authority over satan.
You can say with authority:
Get thee behind me, satan.
Go away.
You have nothing that I want or need.
I have nothing to give you.
You have no rights or authority in my life.
I have nothing that you can claim.
You offer me nothing of value.
I want nothing to do with you.
Go away.

Jesus sets the example for you in trials, tribulations, and testing.  He was tempted in all manner of life, just as you are.  He was victorious and you can be too (by allowing the purity of Christ run through you and in you).  Victory comes when you know the Word and speak the Word (not when you somehow become sinless, which is not what is required).

When you stand against the enemy and send satan on his way, you can be sure that just like with Jesus, it is for a season.  He will be back.  That’s why the scriptures admonish you to be renewed day by day." The scriptures are not suggestions."
