God Thinking XC - A Season Of Favor 4

"Let me ask you a question.  If you have to reach some level of perfection or purity above that which you have today, (your current condition) how much above is the right amount?

How perfected do you have to be?

Do you believe that you will ever be perfected in the flesh to the point where you are worthy in your flesh to boldly go before the throne of God?

Is there any great thing that you can do that will make you more worthy than you are right now to enter into the presence of God?

God is not impressed with your performance, if it is your performance that you bring before God in lieu of your faith, you will be greatly disappointed.

God is not moved by your personal accomplishments, if your accomplishments are what you bring to bridge the gap between God and man, you will be deeply unsettled.

God is not impressed by your ability, if it is by your ability that you stand before God, you will not sense God's favor, you will sense your own bloated ego.

God is not impressed by your words, if it is by your words that you think that God accepts you.

If you expect that there is anything about you, other than (Christ in you) that impresses God, you have been deceived.

You were made free the moment you accepted the voluntary sacrifice of Christ for your sins; nothing else, not even baptism, not speaking in tongues, not being blessed by the Pope or a Rabbi, pastor or Guru. If you have relied on anything to straighten out your relationship with God that befell you because of the sin of Adam other than what Jesus did for you, you have been duped and you have not been freed of anything."
