God Thinking LXXXVIII - The Presence Of The LORD 10

"The 2nd reason that God reveals Himself to us is so that you will get to know your self.

As long as you think more highly of yourself or think more lowly of yourself than God has ordained - just like a wrong view of God can keep you from receiving everything that is for you from God - A false view of yourself can keep you in bondage or keep you suppressed or keep you from operating in the power and authority that is rightfully yours.

A person that thinks too highly of themselves runs the risk of pride hardening their hearts and keeping them from humbly receiving what is rightfully theirs.

A person that thinks too lowly of themselves runs the risks of  low self-esteem which can make them feel unworthy to receive what is rightfully theirs.

You need a right perspective of who you are.  And in the presence of God, alone, your pride is consumed and your low self-esteem is exchanged for His comfort and love.

Yes, you are melted at His entrance.
Yes, you forget for a moment who you are.
The prideful become broken - those with low self-esteemed are brought up higher

Alone, God can reveal you for you to see - and you decide, 'what am I going to do about me?'  Nobody there to commandeer, nobody to answer to, nobody to set false expectations for you - you become judge of yourself and you will judge rightly, alone with God."
