God Thinking XLI - Start Believing Differently and You Will Get Different Results 5

"When the book of Malachi revealed the condition of the Israelites along with the cure for their total disobedience and disgusting spiritual condition, God simply re-states what was always true; i. e., if I may paraphrase, ‘Turn back from the way you are currently doing things, for they are a bane unto Me, your ways are sickening and the way you represent me will not be tolerated anymore.  Turn back to the plan that we had from the beginning, i. e., ‘you follow My plan for godly living and righteous stewardship and I will pour out from My storehouse of blessings more than you can even receive.’

Many preachers, (the priest of today), use this verse to make you and I tithe out of guilt, and this was never the intentions of the scriptures.

As a matter of fact, God never uses guilt as a motivator, but I bet you know who does.

Hear the Word of the Lord: Let’s read 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 again, “ “...He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

V7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

V8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”

Does the principle of tithing work?  Yes, it was instituted by God for the benefit and to benefit His people and His priest.
Is tithing a law of God, that must be followed by the Church in order to be in a right standing with God?  No.

Note: Please share yesterday's blog and today's with your pastor.  Knowledge is power, not obligation or duty or guilt.
