God Thinking 64 - True Freedom In christ 3

"This is a Word from the LORD:
Quit making excuses for doing what God does not sanctify.
And quit doing what God does not sanctify.

You need to be living for Christ and telling your kids and your friends, about:
  • the enjoyment
  • the blessings
  • the excitement
  • the unity
  • the fun and the power of the holy life.
And concerning your kids in particular, instead of making excuses for why you have to let your kids have their own way, you should be revealing to them the innumerable benefits of living the God blessed life..

You need to set an example in the household that sends the message that Jesus is LORD, not with lip service, but by the actions of one who has met the Master.

Without listening to the Holy Spirit, as adult stewards of our children,  our children are at risk for failure and heartache."

God Thinking 64 True Freedom In christ 2

"Freedom in Christ was never meant to be used as a tool or a loophole in the plan of God to keep you from a holy walk.
No, freedom in Christ was imparted to you to empower you to keep you from the things of the world.
Christ died to free you from the bondage of sin, not so that you would embrace the world under the pretense that you are sanctified in sin, but that you would be separated from sin.
Galatians 5:1
1.  Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
You are to guard your relationship with God above all else.  You are bought with a price and you are the bride of Christ. And as the bride of Christ, you are to be faithful to the groom.

God Thinking 64 - True Freedom In Christ 1

"All of us want to partake of the miraculous.
We all want to see God move in our lives.
We want the blessing of God to become ours.
We want good health
Peace with our spouse
Peace with our kids
Plenty of money
A fulfilling job
A blessed ministry
Most of us want things to go well even if we are not willing to do what it takes to make them go well.

Everything to do with our relationship with God, has everything to do with the way we implement - employ - activate - practice - exercise or utilize what we have already received - what we have already learned.

I didn’t say, everything to do with the way we perceive our relationship with God, but everything to do with our relationship with God, because sometimes the way we perceive something is not always the way it really is.

I hope you are ready to get excited.
I am going to talk to you about True Freedom in Christ, but just like any worthwhile principle, to understand what freedom in Christ is, we need to also understand what it is not.

Hear me carefully, God is about to impart a truth into your soul that is going to change the way you look at your life, if you will allow it.

Freedom in Christ is not freedom from Christ.

I am tired, and my soul is worn, from hearing from the body of Christ, (those who claim Jesus as their Saviour), that Freedom in Christ is freedom to do whatever they have in their mind to do, whether it sanctified by God or not.

Freedom in Christ is freedom from the things that keep a man or a woman in bondage.  It is not freedom to operate in and act upon the things that Christ died to set us free from.

God thinking LXII - You Have Got To Figure It Out 10

"The decisions that God is speaking to your heart.

Are you going to:
Remain unchanged - unmoved by God’s Word for you.  Holding firm in your resolve to hear the Word of God without having it change you?

Or are you going to turn away and not let what God said become true in you, even though you hear the voice of God - even though you know it is right - even though you know that God is dealing with you for your own benefit - even though you know the consequences of not adhering to what God is saying to you is devastating - will you still turn away?

Or are you going to draw closer to God?  And allow God to positively affect  your decisions.

Will you make up your mind to allow God to weed out every thing that is not of God, by God or for God?

Will you allow God’s Word to give you the answer you have been looking for?

Will you make a decision for the moment, the day, for your career, your
ministry, your direction, your life based on what God is doing in your
        spirit right now?

God thinking LXII - You Have Got To Figure It Out 9

"We are not self-sustaining.
Psalms 55:22
2.  Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Nehemiah 9:21
21.  Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.

I know that the atheist, the agnostic and cult followers all believe that they are self-sustaining, but those who have been purchased with a price - those who have put their hope in Christ - those who have died to self, they trust in God and God alone for their sustenance.

I think all of us have trusted in our self and others for far too long.  It’s time we trust in God and in Him alone.

Does that mean you stop working and sit at home expecting God to meet your needs?  No.  Everything that God does for you, (by His will) is also by agreement of (your free will.)

God thinking LXII - You Have Got To Figure It Out 8

"Those who have been born again by the Spirit of God are not broken beyond repair.

2 Corinthians 5:17
17.  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

See, Jesus knew that if He was to do it any other way than to make you into a new creature, you would use the excuse that, (God only changed you a little here and a little there, but you still have enough of your old nature to keep you from serving God and living a victorious life in Christ.)

No, no one will stand before God and say that they just couldn’t serve Him - they just couldn’t overcome the world - they just couldn’t break away from the pull of the world.

No, no one will be able to blame God for their disobedience, because God didn’t just change you just enough to feel a little bit better about yourself - God made you into a new creature by quickening your spirit and indwelling you with the Holy spirit.

No one is broken beyond repair.  It’s just another lie of the enemy.  You are either born again and a new creature or you can be.  But, no one is broken beyond repair.

God thinking LXII - You Have Got To Figure It Out 7

"God is not genie-like and performs no magic, but God is all powerful and performs magnificent miracles.

Revelation 19:6
6.  And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Deuteronomy 29:2-3
2.  And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
3.  The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:

Acts 2:22
22.  Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

" The power of God is available

Acts 1:8
8.  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

John 1:10-13
10.  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11.  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12.  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13.  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

God thinking LXII - You Have Got To Figure It Out 5

"Jehovah God, El Eloheim, El Adonai, El Shaddai, the Holy Spirit, Jesus the Christ is not to be mocked by man’s feeble and inferior attempt to explain God outside of holy scripture.

God is not powerless (just because in the lives of the disobedient, it appears that God is impotent), nor does God perform magic to a jeering crowd of spectators, (at the whim of the prophets sceptre).

God’s supernatural intervention in the lives of men and women is not to be likened to the scheming  manipulations of men.

So let’s set the record straight.

Let’s replace any and every erroneous thought that we have had or have about God with thoughts that produce sound doctrine.

1.   The power of God is available and operating in the lives of men and women, teens, children and even the unborn.  All to the glory of God, for the purpose of empowering His saints to overcome the world and serve God with a holy life.

2.   God is not genie-like and performs no magic, but God is all powerful and performs magnificent miracles at His discretion, (all for the glory of God and to benefit God’s finest and foremost creation, you and I.)

3.    You who have been born again by the Spirit of God are not broken beyond repair, but you are empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit within you, not only for the sake of receiving the gift of eternal life, but also to make you able to withstand the firey darts of the wicked one and to be able to stand firm in the faith against all odds.

4.   You are not self-sustaining, but ever in need of substance created for us by God.  You are ever in need of God and God’s creation to sustain your life and spirit.

No one is self-sustaining.

God thinking LXII - You Have Got To Figure It Out 4

"You are to be in the world, not of the world.

Your success isn’t in living a sinless life without a Savior, it is living your life, empowered by a sinless Savior.
If living an empowered life is something new to you, there is no need to be ashamed.  “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.

Religion has taught believers that they cannot win over temptation.

Religion has taught believers for centuries that the move of the Spirit of God was only for a short time.

Religion has taught believers that they must go through a mediator to apprehend God.

Religion has taught believers that they cannot understand what they read.

Priest’s and pastors, ministers and teachers have been teaching a powerless gospel to a faithless people for centuries.

And now we have self-proclaimed Apostles and prophets, ascended masters and spiritual guru’s teaching a magical genie kind of God.

It’s not true that the power of God has been removed from us and neither is it true that God performs silly magical feats for the ignorant and unlearned to reveal Himself.

God is self-disclosed and cannot be hidden.  God’s power is evident in all power and God’s creation is evident in itself.  God’s supernatural intervention is also evident by His ever present ability to change the hearts of men.
If you want to know why so many people are messed up, think about all the untruths that have been spoken about God the Father, the Holy Spirit and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

And if you want to know why so many Christians are living out their lives without evidence of the presence of God in their life, just think about all the untruths they have been taught about themselves.  And the truth is - they are unwilling to unlearn some things so that new light can be shed in their hearts. (Are you unwilling to unlearn a great many things?)

It’s no wonder our society is so messed up.  Many people believe in a God that is either powerless or genie-like and they believe  in themselves as either broken beyond repair or self-sustaining.

Erroneous thinking produces powerless results.

God thinking LXII - You Have Got To Figure It Out 3

"Too many Christians are willing to ignore the lure of the world.

Too many Christians are willing to ignore the signs of the times.

They paint their own picture of the way things are and the way things should be:
  • without consultation from wise counsel
  • without instruction from scripture
  • without prayerfully considering the results of their actions
  • without recognition of God’s Sovereignty.
To say that you believe that God is sovereign, and live like He is distant and unconcerned, is hypocrisy.

Jesus didn’t think much of hypocrisy during His earthly ministry and He doesn’t think much of hypocrisy right now.

You need to kick out that old kind of thinking, that says, just because you cannot live a sinless life, like Jesus Christ did, that somehow that equates to your having no ability or power at all.

That since you have fallen short in times past, you must constantly, and without refrain, continue to fall prey to the ploys of your enemy.

You have been empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit to overcome the world, not succumb to the world.

God thinking LXII - You Have Got To Figure It Out 2

"The trappings of the seen, (the visible world) have all but blinded us of the unseen, (the invisible world).

The pleasure of the moment has caused a thick fog to pass over our good sense.

The desire for immediate gratification has all but eradicated our vision for the long haul.

A wise man or woman will enjoy the moment without compromising the future.

God thinking is for those who have decided to seek out those things that bring
peace and comfort,  financial security, joy and happiness - without filling their
tomorrows with unpredictable troubles and problems, without compromising
their future.

God thinking is for those who want to give up more of the:
  • temporal
  • short lived
  • ever changing
  • thrown together
  • not well planned out
  • I’ll worry about the consequences later,   mind-set
And replace it with things:
  • Eternal
  • Long lived
  • Stable
  • Well planned
  • Thoughts developed through prayer and communion with God
You mustn’t deny God entrance into the affairs of your life.

And you do deny God entrance into the affairs of your life when you are outside of the will of God.

Jesus Christ came into this world and lived, died and rose again to empower us to live above the fray.

God thinking LXII - You Have Got To Figure It Out 1

"To seek after God and not find Him, not only in the quiet of meditation, but also in the noise of the day, is proof of how distanced we have become from a pure and holy life.

God has a more difficult task in finding you than you do of finding God.

In your busied life, you manage to be unavailable.  God is always available, but you make yourself unavailable by your actions.

You have managed to disassociate with the never changing Spirit world, for a moment of attention from the ever changing material world.

I am going to help you make some crucial decisions in your life today, because the truth always weeds out the heart.

In your heart, are you willing to make a decision today.

When God speaks to our heart, one of three things happen:
1   You remain unchanged - unmoved by God’s Word for you,not at all stirred up, encouraged or empowered - the true sign of cultural or carnal Christianity.

Or when God speaks to our heart:
2   You turn away and do not let what God said to become true in you, even
though you hear the voice of God - even though you know it is right - even
though you know that God is dealing with you for your own benefit - even
though you know the consequences of not adhering to what God is saying is
devastating - you turn away.

Or when God speaks to our heart:
3   You are drawn closer.  You are positively affected down in your soul.  You
make up your mind to allow God to weed out every thing that is not of God, by
God or for God and you allow God’s Word to give you the answers of the
moment, the day, for your career, your ministry, your direction, your life, your
everything.  You make a way for God to have His way;"

God Thinking 60 - Religion or Christ, which is it? 8

  • "You need to start seeing God as God Almighty.
  • You need to see God as the biggest thing in your life, not your problems.
  • You need to see God as your incredible provider, that comes through every time.
  • You need to see God as your very help in time of trouble - The One who is always there and does beyond what you could ever imagine.
  • You need to see God as the One who goes ahead of your everything to make a way for you.
Stop fretting.  Spend the minutes or hours, days or years  you are worrying about your problems and your situations and spend them at the foot of the throne of God, and your problems will melt away like butter in an oven.
If you don’t believe it, start believing it.
If you aren’t use to going to being in the presence of God, start today.  God doesn’t put anybody down, He only lifts them up.
God is waiting right now for you to get alone with Him so that He can show you His plan for you.  You will be pleased.  You will come away from the throne built up.

You might not like everything that God reveals, but you will be forever thankful that God revealed it.

God knows your future, you should be open to what God has to say, it will be what you need to hear.

God thinking brings you into the presence of God, to get closer.
Let’s decide to get closer this week.
Let’s set aside a time when we go to God and talk.
Demand it from yourself.
You will be pleasantly surprised at what God is about to tell you."

God Thinking 60 - Religion or Christ, which is it? 7

"I am going to let the cat out of the bag:

If you agree with me as I speak the truth about your enemy, please say Amen or hallelujah or speak the words with me.

Hear me on this and contemplate its truth and it will change the way you see your battle, forever.

I want you to hear what I have to say to satan and his whole armada of ungodly and profane ways:

You are vial and insignificant.
Your ploys have been uncovered and you have been revealed.
I have seen the nothingness that you are.
You have no authority in my life, in my home, or at my workplace.
Every time you show your wicked face
Every time you even get near to me
Every time you threaten my children
Every time you harass me
Every time you harass my friends
Every time you harass my family
Every time you speak in my presence
I am going to tell someone the truth about you.
You are small and insignificant.
You are beaten and lost beyond pardon.
You are of no consequence.
You are fully void of any value.
In the name of Jesus, I stand against you.

James says in James 4:7
“7.  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Jesus says in Luke 4:8
“Get thee behind me, satan, for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.”

Is the battle over when you get close to God?  No.  But the results of the battle have been foretold, and you win.
