Thought for the day

"When we are there, (that place where we consciously bring our self) it can be as good or as delightful or as powerful as we allow it to be:
  • Based on the circumstances of the moment
  • Based on the ambiance of the place we are at
  • Based on the type of communication we are looking for at the time
  • Based on how much time we intend to spend in the presence of God
  • Based on what we are seeking
Mixed with our blood sugar level, our mental state, our measure of faith and our knowledge base. When we read the scriptures, share our faith, worship, praise or pray, we set conditions and time constraints and there are distractions and a multitude of other components that may or may not interfere with our moments with God. All of this is because we are in the world, and the world is full of demonic activity, wickedness, noise & evil of every sort.

It seems like an impossible task, to get in a place with God where we can dwell in Him and bask in His glory. Here's why. Even though God is always present, we are not always in His presence, because we are not always presenting ourselves to Him. God is always presenting Himself to us, but we are not always presenting ourselves to Him. If we want an inner court experience that takes us behind the veil, in the very presence of God, we will have to bring our faith, seek God diligently, present ourselves to Him, without reservation, and be prepared to commune with Him in awe."
