Thought for the day

"We must set aside the religion of our predecessors in exchange for personal experience. At the end of each generation's life span rests the culmination, the accumulated sum, of revealed truth, for that generation. It is this accumulated sum of revealed truth that builds the foundation for the next generation. This is how religious philosophy/theology is handled. Profound truths are revealed as they are discovered or unveiled. And that revelation is passed on from generation to generation.

Psalm 145:3-4 says "Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty works."

God bless those who endeavor to pass the baton with power, authority and integrity. As each generation comes along, they/we must weed through what the previous generation discovered and gleam the gold and silver off the top and put it "on top" in our mind, and push down and away all that is dross, (the impurities).
