Thought for the Day

"Would you put "on top" (in your mind) the presence of God. Would you facilitate the presence of God by obedience. There four things that pertain to your being in the presence of God; two things you have to do to prepare to be in the presence of God and two things that happen because you are in the presence of God. God knows before you even think about it, whether you are sincere or not. God knows what you are going to do when you get in the presence of God, and if you intend to;

  • Force the hand of God
  • Manipulate God
  • Get what you want
  • Question His message
  • Try Him out to see if you like it
  • Add a notch in your spiritual belt
  • Use the experience to bring glory to yourself
Here's the four things that pertain to your being in the presence of God that must be in order: two things you have to do prepare to be in the presence of God and two things that happen because you are there.

1 You will have to be prepared to be changed.

2 You will have to abandon your pre-conceived idea of what you will receive from God.

3 You will have to accept what God gives to you.

4 You will have to accept what God tells you when you are there.

Thought for the Day

"Primarily you are a facilitator of life. Think about it. For those of us who are saved, the Bible says "we were bought with a price, we are not our own." We are "stewards" of God's creation, not owners. We are truly "strangers and pilgrims" here. We are the "temple of the Holy Spirit." Like I said, primarily you are facilitator of life.

God-thinking teaches you principles: Principles that you learn - Principles that you understand - Principles that you practice. When you learn something, that you can use, that could help you to become more like Christ, you need to pay attention. God-thinking teaching you to pay attention to the things of God; to put the things of God "on top," all the while pushing out the things that consume you, the things that do not glorify God; the things that take your time, your money and your resources, but never satisfy you."

Thought for the Day

"The things that use to derail us, need not have any place in our lives anymore. You are the righteousness of Christ and your life should reveal it. When the principalities or powers of darkness come to reek havoc, they should confer with one another and say, "we would just be wasting our time to go to their house. There's nothing there for us to work with."
  • God gave you discernment to use. So use it consciously.
  • God gave you power to use. Wield it with expertise.
  • God gave you His Word to use. Speak it frequently.
  • "Get thee behind me satan" Luke 4:8
  • "I am the righteousness of Christ" 1 Corinthians 1:30"

Thought for the Day

  • "God-thinking teaches you not open the windows in a storm.
  • God-thinking teaches you not to allow satan a piece of the garden to put his seeds in.
  •  God-thinking doesn't entertain the foolish things of this world, as if you could partner with the devil and somehow come out unscathed.
  • God-thinking teaches you to recognize the enemy, despite how he is dressed or what facade he puts on.
  • God-thinking teaches you to flee from the enemy, not argue with him, not pursue him, not invite him in, not entertain him, not test him or see if he is really powerful - No, the wise among us, flee from him. We turn away fast, as if it were a fire out of control and we were in its path.
You don't dabble with the most powerful wicked creature in the universe. You win by keeping yourself and everything you own out of his reach. You don't bait satan to see if he will grab the line. He will grab the line, every time.

If you are thinking, "why do I need to know these things?" My answer would be, that:
  • God designed this universe and everything in it.
  • God wants you to know about your enemy or He wouldn't have told ypou about him.
  • God told you the truth about who satan is so that you would be informed and knowledgeable.
  • God gave you instruction to empower you, so that when the enemy comes, youe will recognize him, and flee from him.
  • God gave you the information you need so you can avoid being misled, confused, tricked, manipulated or overcome."

Thought for the Day

"In 2 Corinthians 11:3, Paul is talking to the Church at Corinth. Paul has lifted them up. He has talked firmly and appropriately to the people of God. He says in 2 Corinthianas11:3, "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."

Now in Jesus's own words in John 8:42-47, "Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but He sent Me. V43 Why do ye not understand My speech? Even because ye cannot hear My Word. V44 Ye are of your father, the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. he was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. V45 And because I tell you the truth, you believe Me not. V46 Which of you convinceth Me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe Me? 47 He that is of God heareth God's Words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."

In Ephesians 4:27, "Neither give place to the devil." And again in Ephesians 6:10-12, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. V11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. V12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." This is a direct statement to the Spirit filled believer. Whether we want it or not, we are in battle with the enemy. And to know the parameters of the enemy is a great advantage.

God-thinking doesn't allow the enemy to win the war. It requires that you believe what God is telling you and to move forward expecting the enemy to war against you. But you also know that by putting on the armour of God you can stand and fight, and win."

Thought for the Day

"Jesus speaks to Peter in a way that most of us wouldn't expect. Jesus says to him in Luke 22:31, "...Simon, Simon, behold, satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:" Paul was familiar with the enemy. Paul knew his opponent. But even Paul came to realize that satan was a formidable enemy. Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 2:18, "Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but satan hindered us."

Peter was familiar with the work of the enemy. It was the same year that Jesus had ascended into heaven. Christians were gathering together and joining forces by distributing amongst themselves equally, so that the rich could still have plenty, but the poor would have plenty too. Everyone brought to the disciples what they had and they distributed it amongst the brethren. But there was a certain man and his wife that wanted the best of both worlds. They wanted the benefits of being a Christian, but they chose rather to believe satan. The story goes like this, "But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, V2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. V3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? And after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. V5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things." Acts 5:1-5"

Thought for the Day

"satan knows that the truth of Jesus Christ and he knows that the presence of the indwelling Spirit, is not only enough to win the war, but it is enough to win the daily battles too.
  • he knows that he cannot do anything in your life that you do not allow.
  • he knows that he cannot oppress you unless you let him.
  • he knows he cannot discourage you unless you let him.
  • he knows that he cannot cause you to doubt if your mind is made up.
  • he knows he cannot have any territory unless you relinquish it.
  • he knows that he cannot make you worry unless you let him.
  • he knows that you have within you the power to exile him.
The Word of God says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:8 It's that simple. Just say, "stop, you have no authority here."

If you resist him, he has to go, that's the rules of engagement."

Thought for the Day

"Unlike you and I, satan has thousands of years of experience. he wants your soul, but if he cannot have it, he wants who you love. he is at battle right now, bidding for place in your life.

  • If he cannot have your time, he wants your money.
  • If he cannot have your money, he wants your time.
  • If he cannot have your house, he wants your TV.
  • If he cannot have your TV, he wants your video game.
  • If he cannot have your video game, he wants your books, your music - anything that you have or do that is not protected by faith.
  • Anything that does not glorify God.
satan doesn't need to consume you to be satisfied. he is satisfied with whatever territory you allow him to possess. satan wants territory and he will take whatever territory is not prayed down or tied down by faith. satan knows the rules of engagement. Do you?"

Thought for the Day

"he (the devil) is sometimes subtle, sometimes cunning, sometimes disguised, sometimes blatantly open, but always against Jesus Christ and those who have the Spirit of God. he is not like you and me. We have good sense and we understand boundaries. satan has lost all the attributes of the heavenly and knows only those boundaries that God has installed. satan has been with us since the beginning and he is going to be with us until the end of the age. he cannot be destroyed or maimed. he has no feelings, empathy, sympathy or loyalty to anyone, not even those who serve him. he is thrilled at death, sickness, poverty, abortion, war, wickedness, terror, plague, famine, confusion or anything that could keep you and I from the knowledge of the truth. he seeks to corrupt the soul of every human being and relentlessly casts doubt on every truth of God that we tarry in believing.

  • he hates the young and the old.
  • he seeks to make us sick.
  • he seeks to make us poor.
  • he seeks to make us fear.
  • he seeks to make us worry.
  • he seeks to make us give up.
  • he seeks to make us sin.
Anything that dishonors God, anything that distracts us from seeking the kingdom of God, anything that keeps us from making a commitment of our life to Jesus Christ, that will he do."

Thought for the Day

"For those who think life some kind of game and they want to dabble with the spirit world on their own terms, without understanding or abiding by sound truths from the Word of God, here's a story from the scriptures that is quite revealing. Acts 19:11-16 "And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: V12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. V13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. V14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. V15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? V16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so they fled out of the house naked and wounded."

This event took place 23 years after Jesus ascended into heaven. This is no funny matter. There are many people that think they can cast out demonic forces because they speak the name of Jesus. But to speak the name of Jesus without the indwelling Holy Spirit, discipline, empowerment and authority, has no efficacy against the wicked one.

satan is lord over:  pornography - gambling - terrorism - murder - rape - pedophilia - necromancy - debauchery - adultery - witchcraft - spirit guides - fraud - lying - cheating - stealing - hatred - prejudice."

Thought for the Day

"God wants you to know about your enemy, his boundaries, his abilities and his inabilities; not to get to know him better, but to empower you against the wiles of the wicked by revealing the truth about what he can and cannot do. There is no excuse for Christians not understanding the boundaries imposed on your enemy.

Here are some truths extracted from 37 years of studying scripture:
  • Every idle word - every impure thought
  • every word of gossip - every unkind word
  • every demeaning or discouraging remark
  • every word spoken out of anger
  • every negative and pessimistic word
all give satan tools to work with.

he will enter any door, any mouth, any opportunity, any mind, that is left open for him. satan cannot win the war for your soul, but he is not in it to win the war for your soul. he is in it for the sheer wickedness of desecrating the people of God."

Thought for the Day

"It's complicated, because many Christians don't believe they have to resist the devil. They believe that the devil doesn't pose any real or immediate threat to them. They dabble with the devil by allowing him open doors by default. Since they don't take the devil seriously, they think that the devil doesn't take them seriously. Huge mistake.

Luke 22:1-3 "Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover: V2 And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him (Jesus); for they feared the people. V3 Then entered satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve."  There is significance in this statement. Just as the Holy Spirit indwells the believer, satan can indwell the unbeliever. They have no protection against the wicked one. Until you are born again, you have no power or authority over satan and his cohorts."

Excerpt from The Power of God Thinking by Keith C. Powell Copyright 2010

Thought for the Day

"satan has no joy, no peace, no love. The attributes that once shined like the sun have all been stripped away. he is unable to do good or think good thoughts. he is vile and full of all things against God. But there is one reason in particular why your enemy is so adamantly against you. he sees Christ in you and he is against everything that has to do with Jesus Christ. satan knows that if he doesn't discourage you, cause you to worry, cause you to doubt, oppress you and tempt you, you will be about the Father's business:

  • Healing the sick - Speaking the truth in righteousness
  • Visiting the widows and the fatherless
  • Keeping yourself unspotted from the world
  • Empowering the saints - Comforting the afflicted
  • Delivering the oppressed - Bringing hope to the hopeless - Strengthening the brethren.
satan is truly your enemy, but he is not a valiant warrior, nor does he have any honor or discretion. his best work is performed in cowards like those who rammed the world trade center. he works in the lives of the ungodly to bring havoc in the lives of the godly. he cannot take your soul, but he can use any and every person, place or thing that is not consecrated to Almighty God."

Thought for the Day

"Here=s what happens.  Every time you start to make progress in godly living, or you become stronger in the faith; every time you become empowered, or comforted or filled, your enemy takes note.  Of all the people that satan hates and seeks to destroy, Christian=s are his arch enemy.  Many people have a false view of who satan is and why he does what he does.

satan isn=t after you, your friends, your family, your children because he thinks he can win them over, because he can=t.  It isn=t because he thinks he can separate you from the love of God, because he can=t.  It isn=t because he thinks he can break the seal of the Holy Spirit, because he can=t.  He doesn=t come after you because he thinks he can convert you, because he can=t.  he comes after you because he is evil.  He cannot help but be who he is."

Thought for the Day

"There is one truth that is seldom discussed concerning our one, true enemy. We cannot harm satan, kill him or maim him. We cannot stop him, change him, teach him or convert him. There is nothing we can do to satan to harm him, but there is a lot we can do to keep satan from harming us.

Jesus Christ is for us, blessing us and giving us the very best, filling us with Himself, helping us on our journey, drawing us close to Himself. Jesus Christ sends His angels to minister to us and protect us, to reveal and enlighten. God and the Holy angels are working day and night saving us: saving us from our self - saving us from disasters - saving us from car wrecks - bad decisions - poor choices. And when we were down and ready to just give up, God put His hand of comfort out to lift us up. God blesses us and enlightens us - empowers us and protects us - teaches us - embraces us - fill us."

Thought for the Day

"It=s obvious that many people and yes, many Christians don=t believe the scripture, because the scripture says, ABe sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:@ 1 Peter 5:8  And again in James 4:4, AYe adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship with the world is enmity with God?  Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.@  And again, AThen was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.@  Matthew 4:1

Where did the Christian or anyone else get the idea that satan is not real?  From the king of liars himself - from the master of disguise and deceit - from the one who loves nothing and no one - the one who cannot be satisfied and will never cease the demise of each and every person.  satan seeks to devour and destroy every Christian or non-Christian, man, woman or child, born or unborn."

Thought for the Day

"God-thinking teaches us to have the mind of Christ, and the mind of Christ did not ignore the reality of a wicked enemy. As a matter of fact:

  • It was the same enemy that gave Adam and Eve a visit.
  • The same enemy that had taken over the city of Sodom and Gomorrah.
  • It is the same enemy that provoked David to number Israel.
  • It was the same enemy that was after the baby Jesus.
  • The same enemy that entered into the heart of Judas.
  • The same enemy that visited Jesus in the wilderness.
  • The same enemy is going to continue to bring havoc wherever he is welcome.
  • This enemy is not moved that you or your family have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Even though he has no authority where he is not welcome, there are far too many people who treat him more as a friend than an enemy.

Even though you know that you must "Put on the whole armour of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" Eph. 6:11

Even though you have been told that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Eph. 6:12

There are far too many people willing to dabble or play games with this enemy.

Thought for the Day

"It takes faith to seek the face of God to help us accomplish the impossible.

  • The world says you can't. God says you can.
  • You might have family that says you can't, but God says you can.
  • You might have a doctor that says you can't, but God says you can.
  • You might have a friend that says you can't, but God says you can.
  • Who are you going to believe? "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13) or, I just can't do it.
  • Are you going to believe? "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God" (Luke 18:27) or, are you going to believe the world? Because the world says faith in Jesus Christ is a hoax. The world says there is no power in having a relationship with God.
  • Are you going to trust Jesus when he says? "only believe" (Mark 5:36) or are you going to stop short and lose heart before you see results?
  • Who owns the cattle on a thousand hills?
  • Can you honestly stand before God and say you are under supplied to reach the goals that God inspired in you?
  • Who created the earth and everything in it?
  • Can you honestly stand before God and say you don't have enough resources?
  • Who set things in order and established the number of your days?
  • Can you honestly stand before God and say you don't have enough time? Most of us have had more than enough money, time and resources to reach our goals many times over. You have got to trust God in this. You have got to see how God works in your life and start to use your faith."

Thought for the Day

"If you are thinking, that God has not called you to anything, you are mistaken.  It=s easy to think that you just can=t.  It doesn=t take any faith to just can=t.  But it does takes faith, to start right where you are, with what you have, at whatever age you are, with whatever resources you have at hand, with all that is against you, to believe what God says and move forward with God in it."

Thought for the day

"Time is not fleeting, like some think.  There isn=t too little time, but just the right amount of time.  Your flesh and mine says, Ano way,@ but when you are on God=s time-line you have plenty of time to accomplish everything that God has pre-ordained or pre-determined.  God-thinking gets you on God=s time-line."

Note: This world's system , along with the fast pace of our society and teaching from secular humanists has attempted to condition you to believe that you just don't have the time it takes to live a lifestyle that honors God.  A lifestyle that allows for rest, relaxation, peace of heart, time with the kids, (everyday) eating meals together, regularly going to the kids functions and all the while keep the homefront in order a d make enough money to pay for it all.  Don't buy into it.  There has always been plenty of time and there still is.  Re-prioritize; Slip the important personal things on the front burner for a while and turn those less important secular activities on simmer.  Quit telling yourself that you don't have time and quit making excuses.  Maybe the truth is that you have chosen a lesser path and you are trying to justify it.  Just get real.  Most kids would rather have a real mom or dad that (the kids think) believe in them and want to be with them.  Telling someone that you love them and would like to be there but... well it gets old.  Truly the only person that believes that you don't have enough time is yourself.

Thought for the day

"Some people think they can do according to God=s will without having their thoughts in line with God=s thoughts.  In  other words they do not need to hear from God, nor do they need to read the Word of God to know God.  It is impossible to do God=s will by default.  God gives His wisdom to those who diligently seek Him.  God requires your undivided attention.  God-thinking is about giving God your undivided attention.  God-thinking says that to experience your dreams and/or goals, not only in the way of success, but also in the way of glorifying God, you need to take the time you have ahead of you and learn to think like Christ."

Thought for the day

  • Every dollar you make
  • Every relationship you have
  • Every business you venture into
  • Every goal - every desire - every dream
  • Every breath
  • Every thought
Must be to the glory of God.
  • Who has been telling you differently?
  • Who taught you that it is OK to make up your own rules about how to live?
  • Who has been exploiting you to believe that Christianity has nothing to do with Christlikeness?
  • Who has been telling us that "All paths lead to God?"
  • Who has bee selling you that you are a better class of person if you own more things?
  • Who has been teaching you that it is better to expose your children to the world early so they can get use to it? You had better hope and pray they never get use to it.
  • Who has been feeding you the lie that a little leaven doesn't leaven the whole lump?
God is not pleased when you take His Word as just another philosophy or as a suggestion. God says to us in 2 Corinthians 10:5, We are to be "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" Your thoughts matter to the extent that they determine whether you are listening to God and moving according to His will or you are not listening and moving according to your will."

Thought for the day

"God-thinking is the kind of thinking that thinks forward to create what God has already ordained to be.  Most of your life you want, desire, chase after, strive for, long for, get stressed out over, worry about, fret about, what God has already placed in your path aforetime.  You work like a dog to make happen what God has already transformed from thought into reality for you.  Most of the time, if you had just waited a moment longer, you could have seen how God orchestrated it all.

As you are running around in circles trying to make something happen, God in His infinite wisdom had already prepared the path.  And when you get there, you pat yourself on the back for a job well done.  You need to learn to see God in what you are doing, right from the start."

Thought for the day

"Another goal killer is perfection analysis.  AI can=t get started with my goal because all the conditions aren=t perfect.@  If you are looking for the perfect scenario before you get started, you will put it off forever.  And if you put off forever what you were inspired by God to do, does that glorify God?

If perfection paralysis has stopped you from moving forward, you need to change the way you think.  Waiting until all the conditions surrounding your life=s goals are perfect is not sensible and responsible, it is vain and foolish.  It is just one more excuse that keeps you from moving forward with your life=s plans.  Perfection is not an option, but having a: realistic - measurable - specific - action oriented - time bound goal, is an option.  It=s all about perspective.  God-thinking doesn=t listen to the world.  God-thinking listens to God."

Thought for the day

Goal setting
"Maybe your argument might be, "I don't have enough time." Really, listen to the Word of God. "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"  Ecclesiastes 3:1  You might be cramped for time now, but when you determine the relevancy of how you spend your time and redeem the time wisely in relation to your goal/goals, then you can re-allocate the time needed to advantage yourself under God's direction.

Maybe you feel you are not educated enough to reach your desired goal or you feel you are just too old to get started. "After all, if I were to get the five years of education I need to do what I want, I would be 70." Let me ask you something, "How old will you be in five years if you don't get the education you always wanted?"

Thought for the day

"Maybe you just want to move.  It=s your most important goal right now.  Have you prayed about it?  I mean, have you prayed about it!!!?

Are you thinking that God isn=t interested in where you live, how you get there, or who lives there?  God will assist you in finding just the right place, for just the right money, at just the right time; but you have got to have the goal and include God in your plans.  It=s that simple.

ABut you don=t understand, I don=t have enough money to make my dreams come true!!@. There are thousands of people who would love to invest in your idea, your dream or your goal.  How many people have you asked?  Have you asked the right people?  Have you prayed about it and asked God, AFather, what would you have me to do?  You know I don=t have enough money to make this thing happen.  Would you lead me Lord.  Would you guide me and help me?"

Thought for the day

It is time to go to the LORD and pray. It's time to make a decision. God wills for you and I to want or desire something more than just existence. If you go to God in prayer and make a decision to move forward, God has something to work with. Dedicate some time to it. Budget some funds toward it. Pray over it again and again. Stop the futile struggle in the, "I wish this or that was different game" or "If only I had more money," or "if only I had more time," or "If only I were more educated."

If you have an honest goal and you have applied the threefold foundation of God-thinking to it, and you have confirmation from the Holy Spirit to get on with it, there isn't anybody or any time better suited than you, right now for the task. Maybe you have a huge goal that takes millions of dollars, years of time and hundreds of educated people to fulfill. Don't be afraid to get on with it. With God all things are possible."

Thought for the day

"You know, some people can't live without having everything. And the resources that they could be using to help bring success to their goal or dream, is expended on unrelated and quite often insignificant things. If you want God to assist you in reaching your life's goal, long term, short term or right now, you have to give God something to work with.

It has to be more than an idea, more than frivolous talk, more than a silly notion. The LORD says, "commit thy way..."

There is a lesson you can learn from the pelican. God feeds the pelican well, but seldom will you see a fish jump into a pelican's mouth while the pelican is perched on a pole.

Thought for the day

"The next aspect of goal setting that you are going to discover is relevancy.  If you want your goals and dreams to be blessed by God, you need to ask ourself, AWhat is relevant in assisting me to accomplish the goal at hand?"  Then seek more of it.

You need to ask yourself, AWhat is irrelevant or inconsequential in assisting me in reaching my goal, dream or task at hand?  Then seek less of it.

You need to ask yourself, AWhat is it that you cannot live without while you are working your plan?  And get it.

You need to ask yourself, AWhat is it that you can live without while we are working our plan?  And ditch it.

Thought for the day

"You must learn to use the threefold foundation of God-thinking in every goal, dream, desire or task at hand.

1 Choosing a goal that can be sanctioned by God.
2 Acknowledging what you are able to do towards creating your goal and acknowledging what is impossible for you to do and will require the hand of God.
3 Talking and listening to God while on the journey.

When you do this, you open the windows of heaven to receive what cannot be obtained by just working hard.
  • Some things just cannot be obtained by writing a good plan.\
  • Some things just cannot be obtained with a PhD.
  • Some things just cannot be bought with money.
  • Some things just cannot be arranged by your family.
  • Some things just cannot be accomplished with the intellect.
  • Some things can only be accomplished by God.
I pray to God that you will find yourself in the center of God's will.

Thought for the day

"It is important to remember and practice what we learn, not just learn it and hear it. God-thinking is like that. If you practice the principles you learn, you are empowered by these principles. If you practice the principles you learn, you please God through faith. Here are some principles that I believe deserve to be re-visited. They are the kind of truths that change the way you think.

  • The way you think about God.
  • The way you think about what God has said about Himself.
  • The way you think about what God has said about you.
  • The way you think.
The goal of God-thinking is to learn to think the way God wants you to think."

Thought for the day

"If your goal or dream doesn't require the hand of God, then it's not all it could be. It doesn't meet the criteria of a goal or dream of a child of God. Every thing you do is to be by faith with the expectation of God completing you and bringing to pass the impossible, the miraculous. God blesses what He endorses and God endorses His Word. God reveals what He endorses by His Word and by revelation. Are you a dreamer? Can you just agree with me and say Amen?
  • Can you say in your heart, "I need to expand my dream and include the mighty hand of God in it?"
  • Can you say in your heart, "Enlarge my borders Lord and take away any doubt that would keep my dream from being all it can be."
  • Can you say in your heart that you want to seek the high ground - to go after the impossible - to step out in faith and trust God to bridge the gap between the natural and the supernatural.
God-thinking demands that you live by faith; faith that believes God, and God says, "commit thy way, (thy goal, thy path, thy desires, your course of life, your life's goals) and I will bring it to pass."

Do you believe that you should operate in faith with the wisdom of God?
  • Why do you attempt to manage so much of your life on your own?
  • Why do you wait until things go wrong to get God involved in the matter?
  • Why do you make plans without going to God on your knees and seeking His wisdom in the matter?
You must learn to use the threefold foundation of God-thinking in every goal, dream, desire or task at hand.

1 Choosing a goal that can be sanctioned by God.
2 Acknowledging what we are able to do towards creating our goal and acknowledging what is impossible for us to do and will require the hand of God.
3 Talking and listening to God while on the journey."

Thought for the day

"You need to go to the inner court and ask God to reveal His will for you. Then when God does reveal His will - you let the revelation of God become your desire. "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24 You shall have what you desire, when you pray, if you believe you can receive it. "Ye have not, because ye ask not." James 4:2  I hope you decide to seek God's intervention and interaction in your goal setting.

It is God's will that you desire God's will, and when you do - God gives you your desires. "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. V5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust in Him; and He shall bring it to pass."  Psalm 37:4-5 The word 'way' as used here is the Hebrew word darak (daw-rak) which means course of life or course of action. Here in verse five where the Word says, "Commit thy way unto the LORD," God is entreating you to invite Him into the course of life that you desire; your goals, your dreams, your tasks at hand, and God says, "He shall bring it to pass." That's intervention. That's interactive relationship. That's how God works in your life. God interacts and intervenes in the affairs of those who invite Him in."

Thought for the day

  • "Have you communicated to God what you need, in order to receive by faith, what only God can provide?
  • Have you asked God to intervene in your everything.
  • Do you believe God will do it?
If you ask in faith and believe in your heart that God will do, what you cannot do - God will do it? God speaks to you in Mark 11:22b-24 "Have faith in God. V23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. V24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

There have been times when I didn't believe God for the impossible and the impossible was impossible. But, there have been times when I did believe God for the impossible and the impossible came to pass."

Thought for the day

"Even though God created the heaven and the earth and made it to sustain and perpetuate life; As good as it is, it is just a small part of what God has done for you and even a smaller part of what God can do, with your invitation.  God the Father is interested in your goals, your dreams and every task at hand.  And God has made it clear that He wants to be included in your everyday affairs, your long term goals and your life=s dreams.  AAsk, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  V8 For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.  V9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will give him a stone?  V10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?  V11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him?@  Matthew 7:7-11  When God says, AAsk and it shall be given to you.@

It is clear that God wants to interact with you.  Again:  AAnd whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  V14 If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it.@  John 14:13-14  Have you invited God to give you all that He has promised?

Thought for the day

"You need to take what Jesus says seriously. Jesus says follow me. He is on the narrow path that leads to life and He is calling each one of you to turn around and start going HIS way.

  • The world doesn't have anything on you.
  • Your Father in heaven has provided you with the very best.
  • Those outside of the will of God cannot say that.
  • You are strengthened by His presence in your life.
  • Those who love the world are on their own.
  • You are satisfied with the portion that God has dealt you.
  • The world, those who have not been born again - they are never satisfied, they never get enough.
  • You are empowered to overcome your real enemy, satan.
  • The world is powerless to overcome anything without Christ.
  • You are free from your sins.
  • The world is in bondage to their sins.
There are two paths. Which path are you traveling on?

Thought for the day

"Your Father in heaven knows what you need. (I like to ask the question), What does Jesus have to say about it? "Be ye not therefore like unto them: (those without Christ) for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask them." Matthew 6:8

God is good and righteous and holy. God will not burst into your life uninvited. You are a free moral agent with full autonomy to live out your life with or without God's supernatural intervention. God created a delightful planet with all the necessary components to sustain life and to sustain it very well. Everything is supplied to sustain the natural body: Food - Air - Water - Natural healing and every good thing to operate and live. All of this for all mankind: for the Hindu, the Shaman, the Muslim, the Shintoist, the Humanist, the Agnostic, even the Atheist - and they need not even acknowledge that God exists. Now that's a great and just creator."

Thought for the day

"Most people include God in what they are doing just about the time it is time to bail out, when things go wrong. "Oh God, please help me get out of this mess. Don't leave me alone to face this huge task alone."
Ever done that?

If you prayed earnestly:
  • before going into a business venture
  • while looking for a tenant to rent to
  • before you went to work each day
  • before picking a spouse to spend the rest of our life with
  • before taking a new job
  • before choosing a church
If you prayed as earnestly going into these things in your life, as you do when they begin to crumble - they would never crumble. If you gave God as much attention going into the choices you make as you do coming out, you would own the world."

Thought for the day

"When you run after your dreams or perform the tasks at hand, and you do so with the understanding of how God interacts with you, "nothing shall be impossible." Matthew :17:20b  You are the generation of God Thinkers. You aim for the sky seeking God's interaction, seeking God's supernatural intervention.

When you are practicing God-thinking, you do not plan anything without including faith in the Almighty. You shouldn't have any goals that don't require the hand of God to be fulfilled. If what you are doing and planning to do doesn't require the hand of God, you are living far below where your Father in heaven has raised you. You have slipped from the call to faith. You have accepted the world's standard of excellence. If you have not included the hand in God in what you are doing or planning to do, you have not exercised your faith.
You have not believed God. "For whatsoever is not of faith is sin."  Romans 14:23

Thought for the day

"How God intervenes and interacts with you can only come by revelation from God. Let's look at how to have a goal, a desire, a dream or a task at hand and be in agreement with the will of God.

Is God in the center of what you are planning?
Is God in the center of what you are doing?
What does goal setting have to do with spirituality?

It has everything to do with spirituality. Your goals and dreams and tasks at hand should reflect your love and dependence on God. If you are not in full understanding of the way that God interacts with you, then when you establish your dreams and goals, they will be based solely on your own natural ability. When your dreams, goals and tasks at hand are developed from your natural ability, they cannot glorify God, because they require no faith, and the Bible says that "without faith it is impossible to please God. "  Hebrews 11:6

Thought for the day

"God has been so good to us. Let's be diligent to take advantage of every gift, every blessing, every truth that God so freely gives to us, His children. God-thinking believes what Peter taught "grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."  2 Peter 3:18

This is a reiteration of the seven perfect ways of how you can tell if you are growing in grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

1 You continue to be in the Word of God and you love the Word of God.

2 Your fellowship with believers is not broken.

3 You become usable for service in the body of Christ to the glory of God.

4 You increase in knowledge and understanding of the things of God.

5 You love the things of God.

6 You pray.

7 You worship God."

Thought for the day

"How can you tell if you are growing in grace?

7 You worship God.

Psalm 95:6  "O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our Maker."  Psalm 96:8-9 "Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name: bring an offering, and come into His courts. V9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before Him, all the earth."

Why do so many people want a god they do not have to worship? The world says not to worship God, but God says to worship Him. It is easy to evaluate where you stand. Do you believe and do what God says or do you believe and do what the world says?
  • You want the blessings from God.
  • You want the gifts from God.
  • You want the benefits from God.
You need to follow the example of scripture and give to God His due. Worship is where you prove to the world your inability to do it on your own. A man or a woman who will not worship has never met God.
  • Religion allows salvation without worship, but God does not.
  • Religion allows its parishioners to have it their own way, but God does not.
  • Religion says worship as it pleases you, but God says worship as it pleases Him.
Worship is your most perfect expression of the depth of your understanding of God. It reveals: how big - how great - how awesome - how indescribable - how wonderful - how Holy - how righteous God really is to you. Your worship tells the whole story of who you think God is.

How can you tell if you are growing in grace?  You worship God."

Thought for the day

"How can you tell if you are growing in grace?

6 You pray.

Ephesians 6:18 "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"

Prayer and supplication is really how you get things done. There are times when prayer is the only way you can accomplish the task at hand. Prayer is where you talk to God and where you hear from God.

You pray because you recognize that there are some things that are beyond you. (Imagine that) Some things must be accomplished by prayer.
  • Prayer is cool.
  • Prayer is where you are empowered.
  • Prayer is where you are changed.
  • Prayer is where you are renewed.
  • Prayer is where you meet God.
When you are growing in grace, you are growing in your prayer life. You used to spend two minutes praying, now you spend five minutes praying and next month you moight spend ten minutes praying. Mother Theresa prayed five hours a day. John Knox prayed five hours a day. Praying is such a joy. Your heavenly Father is pleased when you pray in faith, believing.

How can you tell if you are growing in grace?  you pray."

Thought for the day

"How can you tell if you are growing in grace?

5 You love the things of God.

Colossians 3:1 "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God."

God does not water down His truth so that people will buy it. God is not going to let you devise your own way to seek Him, find Him and know Him. God says, if ye are risen with Christ then we are to seek those things which are above. So often people want to know: How do I know if I am saved? How do I know if I am filled with the Spirit? How do I know if I am in the will of God? Are we seeking the things that are above where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God? That's how you know these things.

Does it please you to make changes in your TV viewing, so that you can take charge of purifying what enters into your mind?
Does it thrill you to help others?
Do you enjoy giving? These are the things of God.

Cultural and traditional Christianity are not a good replacement for relationship that brings you to Christlikeness.

How can you tell if you are growing in grace?  You love the things of God."
